Rant - Trying To Avoid Spoilers · 1:44am Oct 1st, 2019
Just have to vent here, but I’m real upset from seeing major finale plot points given away right in story info boxes. Titles, short descriptions, and even cover artwork. It should go without saying that not everybody watches early leaks or airings in other languages. Personally, I’ve always waited for the official episode releases like many other fans.
Which brings me to my next point: I decided to look through the site rules, and was surprised to find out there’s nothing explicitly against it. This really puzzles me.
Equestria Daily has an option to hide spoiler posts. Derpibooru requires you to tag anything referencing future episodes so they can be filtered. The My Little Pony subreddit does not allow them in post titles. And yet on Fimfiction, there appears to be no rules or reminders against putting them in plain view when publishing a story? I really hope they consider making this an official rule, especially as G5 comes around.
To be clear, I have nothing against people watching early leaks and writing stories about it. But for the love of Celestia, please keep spoilers within your story text so people can avoid them! I should be able to browse the front page of Fimfiction without people ruining future episodes for me.
Rant over. Please be respectful, that’s all I ask.
Yes! Fucking thank you!
I already lost interest in a couple of episodes thanks to idiots in this site...
5130773 Dang, sorry to hear it happened to you too. Nothing ruins the hype faster.
kinda why im saving the episodes for when they release on tv instead of searching for the leaked episodes
5130833 Same here. I love ponies but I'm not obsessed enough to go searching for low quality leaks/rips. Watching them with friends when they air is way more enjoyable.

Actually, the leaks are high quality, but I guess that's besides the point.
5131113 Huh, that's interesting. Because I can barely find regular episodes that haven't been distorted, mirrored, pitch-shifted or taken down for copyright within a week of them airing.

Not on youtube, but there are high quality leaks across the internet. You just have to find them.
You should take this to the mods. They should be able to help.
5132425 I'm pretty sure the mods get bombarded with messages and site suggestions. Maybe I could try posting about it on Github, if they still check that.
