SuperPinkBrony12

I'm a brony and a Pinkie Pie fan but I like all of the mane six, as well as Spike. I hope to provide some entertaining and interesting fanfics for the Brony community.

Special Re-Review: Equestria Girls: Forgotten Friendship

While we now know that this has to take place not just before Season 8 but before the events of the 2017 FiM movie, it first premiered in February of 2018, about a month before Season 8 of FiM hit the airwaves. Interestingly, the Discovery Family broadcast omitted several scenes that were later released as part of an "extended" version. As for the writer, it was none other than Nick Confalone,

    Episode Re-Review: Uncommon Bond

After the absolute disaster that was "Secrets and Pies", Season 7 really needed something to redeem it and give it the chance to go out on a high note, especially now that the big 2017 movie had come and gone, and the show's future was still uncertain. Josh Haber, after having returned to the story editor's chair and ultimately taking back the reigns fully from Joanna Lewis and Kristine Songco

    Happy Birthday, Kathleen Barr

Today is Kathleen Barr's birthday. She is the talented woman who voiced Trixie and Queen Chrysalis in FiM, as well a host of other one-off or otherwise minor roles. And, apparently, she was planned to be the voice of Princess Celestia originally.

    Episode Re-Review: Secrets and Pies

*Sigh*, might as well get this over with. When this episode first came out, I didn't think it would be possible for any episode to dethrone "The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000" for the worst episode of FiM in my book, but somehow this episode found a way to do that. It doesn't help that it had its big secret accidentally exposed early thanks to an IDW comic getting leaked ahead of time, so we

Happy Birthday Shannon Chan-Kent · 5:29pm Sep 23rd, 2019

Today is Shannon Chan-Kent's birthday. She is the talented young woman who has been the singing voice of Pinkie Pie from the very beginning, and more recently has had a reoccurring role as Smolder. She was also the voice of Silver Spoon, who quite frankly never got the chance to shine. Before her redemption was she always just Diamond's gal pal or lackey, and while it was great to see her finally stand up for herself in "Crusaders of the Lost Mark" we never saw either her or Diamond Tiara ever again, and we know now that this is because Hasbro rejected all pitches to do something with them because they thought the two had completed their story (nevermind the fact that Sunset Shimmer and Discord had ongoing redemption arcs, or that Starlight Glimmer was added specifically to try and follow up on such successes).

She's had other roles too, including Wallflower Blush in Forgotten Friendship, and Youngmee Song, the Biskit Twins, and Madison in the 2012 Littlest Pet Shop cartoon (she has managed to snag two roles for herself in the 2018 incarnation). Interestingly, two Season 2 episodes ("The Cutie Pox" and "Ponyville Confidential") had Shanon voicing Pinkie Pie for reasons that remain unknown (supposedly the Pinkie Pie voice takes a tole on Andrea Libman). And in two songs ("The Welcome Song" and "The Goof Off") Andrea Libman inexplicably sang for Pinkie instead (though in the latter case it may have been because Shanon had a lot of songs to sing). Pinkie used to sing a lot more in the show's early days, but it was great to hear her get something of her own again in "The Last Laugh", especially after she got inexplicably shafted in "Living in Color" and got only one line for the whole song (not counting the group chorus).

Happy birthday, Shanon. It's great that you were able to find new roles when some of your more prominent ones went away.

Fun Fact for My Female Bat Pony Self: It was upon hearing Shannon Chan-Kent's voice for Smolder that I knew I found the preferred VA for My Female Bat Pony Self of course X3

A happy belated birthday. She really pulls it off.
