So now that Another Chance at Life has reached the end of the first arc, I'm a bit stuck on where to go with the main conflict of the story.
Contrary to what I wrote, it was never about Fake Twilight's hiding from Equestria and her eventual meeting with Princess Twilight.
It was always planned that Twilight would offer her a chance to come back with her. To prove she isn't what Chrysalis made her.
The real conflict is that Equestria will not look past who she was and who created her. Ponies have a horrible track record of not judging a book by its cover.
It's going to show. Not to the point of violence or anything messy. But they will make it known what they think of her.
And that includes the rest of the Mane 7. They'll know first the whole thing.
Clone Twilight's real test now is to prove Equestria wrong. To prove she isn't Chrysalis's slave or minion. Really the only friends she does have are Princess Twilight and Harmony.
Twilight is self explanatory. She's taken in ponies who have done far worse that her twin's adventures. And Harmony because she's seen her heart and her desire to change.
Yeah, I didn't do a good job of setting this up from the beginning. But this is where it is all going.
