"Who'll Stop The Rain" is a really good song. I'm happy that I named a chapter after it. CCR is a good band.
I really enjoyed writing the chapter in question, and Mech did a great job in summing up the mood here with all of the complicated bittersweet feels that Roulette is having in this piece. Admittedly, it is pretty nice to be getting an OG artist from the beginning of the fandom doing art for this fic. It's a really special feeling. Even though this chapter came out like 6 months ago, I still love it and I'm always glad that there's more art of these two.
(Also yeah, I named a character "Sugar Strongflanks", fight me. Actually don't fight me, you'd probably kick my ass. Fight her instead.)
Working on chapter 10 here, I've calculated in my head that Dodge City is likely going to wrap up at ch. 14. Then we move onto the next arc of the story, and that marks sort of a weird half-way point. I would say that Dodge is sort of its own self-contained story in a way. Moving forward, things hinted will continue to affect the plot, but you'll see a gradual separation in tone and setting as the story continues along. As we start getting more into NCR politics and how settlements are being affected, you'll gain greater understanding as to what's been going on, both in the context of the story and the larger implications that are too big for Roulette to deal with. She is just a lowly grunt merc, some of this stuff is way above her paygrade.
I would like to also take this time to give a farewell to my good editor Relentless, so that he can take more time to work on his own fic Fallout Equestria: Frozen Skies. Time that has been well earned, no doubt! His feedback as an editor was extremely valuable in setting me on the right path, so you should really give it a read if you haven't. He's way more well versed in military type stuff than I am. So I thank him from the bottom of my heart, and wish him the best of luck moving forward!
Speaking of editors, I do have another one lined up thankfully, who will hopefully soon be taking his place. Hope to get him on board to look over 10 soon. BTW a small aside, if anyone would be interested in pre-reading, just shoot me a message on fimfic.

I'm really liking how things are shaping up thusfar in this chapter. There's some neat stuff coming up on the horizon, but I can't tell you about it yet! Just hang on tight and I'll try and get it to you soon!
