For Want of a Horseshoe Progress Update

When I began writing this story, it flowed almost effortlessly. The plan was to post an update once a week, and have a nice bow tied around it by the end of April.

Then chapters 5 and 6 happened.

We're halfway through August now, and the end is only now in sight. I just finished the rough draft of chapter 7. It still needs a heavy editing pass, and there's a good chance I'll throw out one scene entirely, but I'm through the worst of it. I expect to have it done and polished by the weekend, but I'm going to wait until I have the epilogue ready to go as well before posting. I don't expect it to take nearly as long, but I guess we'll see.

Thanks for sticking with me, though. We'll get there, I promise.
