The Reason I Write · 7:19pm Aug 18th, 2019
Over the years I've been on here, I've seen this posted on a variety of different user pages. Now, that I've become active on here again and felt that wonderful spark of inspiration, which these amazing ponies have helped me to reconnect with. I sat back and I asked myself, "Why do I write?"
Even beyond my aspirations to one day become an accomplished author. And beyond the thrill I get from entertaining all of you wonderful readers, fans and friends; whether I make you laugh, cry, or just feel something in general. I've come to realize the true reason I write. And that is... I write to Escape! In writing, I can go anywhere, follow anyone's story. Through writing, I can feel the strongest love, the greatest fear, cope with blinding rage, and even find the hope for a brighter tomorrow. Even if that hope is little more than a fool's hope. It has allowed me to broaden my horizons. And for that same wonderful feeling of escape, no, of FREEDOM!! That is why I truly write. I realize not everyone will like what I write, but as long as I know why I write. Then, at least my course will always be clear!
Thanks to Twilight Sparkle and all of her friends, and even to ALL of you. I know where my path will lead me. And this will sound unbelievably corny. But in the last month alone, I have seen three different rainbows in the sky on my way to and from work. I don't see rainbows very often. That's why just as the mane six discovered in "The Cutie Mark Chronicles", I'd also like to think that the rainbow was leading me back...and that it would always remind me of what I have HERE. That's why I hope all of you will continue to support me. I'll continue to do my best to keep updates coming!
Speaking of which...chapter 6 of "The Sparkle In His Soul" is just about ready to post. So stay turned! ^^

You and me both. Thankfully, things feel different this time. In a good way. My new project schedule makes updates seem so much more possible to produce. And having goals for each month offers me a better sense of direction as well.

That was beautiful my friend. We each have our own escapes, mine happens to be food. After all, ingredients are just blank slates until you make them into something beautiful. Much like a word document is.
