The last research paper I worked on has published at last.

The process is REALLY slow. I finished all my work on this 3 years ago.

    https://www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.2316969121

This one uses a lot of my histology and in-situ hybridization with RNAscope results.

But no more science for me. Now I build houses and driveways... and rip them apart too! It's a sort of yin-yang thing I've got going here.

A comedic scene from a new Clouseua story I'm fiddling with...

I just came up with this, and imagining Peter Sellers delivering the line had me laughing for 5 minutes straight.

Clouseau, "For you see, the murderer was... the bullet!"

    Guy in room, "The bullet?"

Clouseau, "Of course, no one would suspect the bullet of firing itself!"

Woman in room, "But that... that's madness!"

THE PIRATE KING BREAKS THE NETFLIX ANIME ADAPTATION CURSE!!!

Only the Pirate King could do it...

It's as good as possible. You cannot do such a goofy anime any better than this, and it's GREAT! I friggin LOVED it.

Last call for Bronycon items up on Ebay!

I'll be delisting all remaining MLP items Sept 1st to focus entirely on selling my huge stash of collectible magazines, which take up vastly more space than the MLP items. Everything here fits into a single flat box I can pick up with one hand. The magazines... weigh over 700 lbs total. Sooooo, kinda makes sense to deal with those ASAP!

The death of Tumblr... · 12:37am Aug 14th, 2019

HAAAAA HAAAAA HAAAAA HAAAA HAAAA HAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

My sole regret is I couldn't convince Alex Jones to buy it and turn it into a Confederate History image gallery. It would have been the masterpiece that set me up as the true Troll God Emperor.

To be fair, there were nice galleries, but come on... they had to see this coming, I warned a number of them last year to get out while they could. A few did take the advice. They're laughing with me now.

Huh, how ... unexpected.:trollestia:

For a moment I thought that Pornhub was going to buy it after they croaked.:rainbowlaugh:

Weren't the social justice warriors so keen on keeping that place safe for work? Take that, SJW's!:rainbowlaugh:

Edit: To the one that downvoted my comment, thank you for showing that you love me and that you care!:rainbowlaugh::pinkiehappy:

5105539 They didn't know what they wanted. And Yahoo wouldn't relax their outlandishly stringent screening of anything that could even be construed as 'adult' (including stuff less raunchy than one finds in a typical "Animaniacs" episode).

So, they screwed themselves over about as badly as one possibly could.

5105565
That's where being SJW/Politically correct leads to ... and people are people everywhere.

And people are lewd.:rainbowlaugh:

Morals are like fashion -- they come and go in change with what the current society believes, whereas ethics are far more lasting yet harder to understand in full. Which is why moral outrage is far more common than ethical outrage. :trollestia:

In the end ... despite all our posturing, scuffles, and differences in opinion we are lewd apes as a whole, mores and ethics be damned.:pinkiecrazy::rainbowlaugh:

5105638
I know, right!?:scootangel:

5105589 But Epstein is an example of what happens when there are NO morals one is beholden to.

People should just obey me without question. You'd all be much happier. The world would be perfect... this world is going to be perrrrfect, in the way of which I've dreamed since I was sm- ….

Errr… I'm totally Alondro and not Chrysalis replacing him! >________>

5105763
Oh, he did have them ... he just chose to be selective about them. Otherwise, he would have saved all that delicious money from the charities he participated and invested them in such wonderful business investments as sweatshops, conflict African mines, and Apple.

Alternatively, he was bonding with future clients/customers with 'certain inclinations' for his 'little attractions' while he made his donations to appear to be trustworthy and morally good. :trollestia:

But I digress - many 'saintly people' and 'good people' are more often than not morally self-righteous and want you to live by their words, yet the moment you dig in a bit and you find all sorts of filth that make said people 'morally bankrupt hypocrites'. I would trust more an 'ethical person' who lives by his word but is not religious than a 'moral person' who wants others to live by his words and beliefs yet doesn't live them himself.

Unfortunately, ethics are philosophical in nature and thus much harder to understand than the simple moral 'Do not enslave others'. There is no explanation why besides 'it is unlawful, it is bad, it makes you a bad person in accordance to our current ruleset'.

Take that again, SJW's!:rainbowlaugh:

That being said, to this day I have trouble with understanding them ethics - and I had a good teacher in that subject.:fluttercry::raritydespair:

... which probably describes most of my life at this point - what with the rampant megalomania and thinking that everything would be better if Vlad Tepes was in power.:rainbowderp::pinkiecrazy:

Huh.:rainbowhuh:

Added note: I tried finding scholarly documents online about the discussion at hand 'bout slavery ... and realized that access more often than not is in fact very restricted instead of available to anyone wishing to read them. :facehoof:

My life is full of joy.:pinkiecrazy:

5105972 Ethics are as fraught with peril as morals.

They can easily be twisted by wicked people who wield clever words.

For instance, eugenics was considered 'ethical' by virtually the entire progressive movement... right up until Adolf happened and demonstrated where such dehumanizingly cold rationale could lead.

Depending entirely upon logic is as dangerous as depending entirely upon emotion. I look at extremes not as ends in a line, but as the far side of a circle opposite moderation. When one goes to the utmost of any extreme, one finds madness and death.

5106004
What you posted, yes siree - it is the key to everything: moderation, balance, harmony, and other synonyms attached between law and human emotion to avoid such abuses to happen.

And you're quite right - ethics can be twisted as much as morals, though it takes much more effort to justify said twisting through what I call 'ethical conmanship' when compared to morality-related reasons more often than not bound to religious and social/cultural points of view. After all, evidence can be forged, twisted and raped into shape to justify your goals - no matter how insane they are.:pinkiecrazy:

As for Epstein, methinks that he was silenced by many of his clients, not wishing to join him in his personal suite in Chateau' du Prison.:trixieshiftright:

5105638
I believe insanity is defined as doing the same thing twice expecting a different result
They took on 4chan twice

I should also mention that tumblr made the best sort of porn. Now, I don't much care for porn. It bores me. But I do read the comments section of clop fics for a laugh.

And tumblr presented the best kind of porn makers and viewers: the kind who looked at it, sneered at others for doing so, then claimed they did so for not lewd reasons. They were admiring the human form and celebrating wymin and, my personal favorite, showing how soooo much better they were then those prudish types and sooo much more culturally advanced.

It was glorious.

But more glorious was them self destructing and deleting 90% of their site, which was porn. Which was what they were against. Tumblr was the Chris Chan of websites

5106190
Personally, Tumblr crashed my explorer too often to be of use to me though I had my favorite 'artists' in there.:scootangel:

Twitter works better for me though.:rainbowlaugh:

Edit: Just saw the videos - and Tumblr failed miserably. Too SJW to remain strong in the face of 4chan.:trollestia:

5106203
Honestly though, there were some excellent artists on there

5106215
Meh, I wish them the best - many had already migrated to Twitter, baraag, newgrounds and other hosting sites if they didn't go to the porn hosts already if they were posting regular porn.:scootangel:

5106219
I meant the ones other then the porn guys:facehoof:

5106221
Lies! SFW artists in Tumblr are a myth!:flutterrage::trollestia:

Seriously though, in all likelihood they'll migrate to the sites I mentioned - they aren't telling people to piss off like Tumblr did.:rainbowlaugh:

5106030 Multiple bones broken in Epstein's neck... now how did he manage to do that with paper sheets in a small cell?

I think it's pretty obvious to anyone (aside from those who partook in Epstein's sickening monstrous sex slave trade, desperately trying to curtail the investigation) that he was assassinated.

Alas, had I been in charge, I'd have had my agents secretly bug the cell and catch EVERYTHING... then wait a few days for the co-conspirators to expose themselves and THEN release the secret video, destroying them all in one fell swoop.

5106224 Twitter is starting to stumble heavily. It won't be long until the purge comes there. Heck, given what Epstein was doing... how much similar stuff is there now showing up on Twitter? (Answer: A WHOLE FRIGGIN' LOT!!)

It's only a matter of time before the light is shown on the vermin there and everything is banned. I give it 6 months, max.

5106203 I found Tumblr extremely annoying to browse. Once my follow list passed 2 dozen artists, scrolling down the massive list of posts took forever, and I didn't give a rat's ass about most of the blathering rants most went on.

The search engine was also pure garbage.

And then, after a while, many of the better artists I followed either left or went idle and I went there less and less. When the ban finally hit, I didn't even bat an eye.

5106485
Naturally, he suffered a natural death after falling down some stairs.:trixieshiftright::trollestia:

5106486
Well, that's concerning.:rainbowhuh:

I hope the artists decide to scram before it is too late.:fluttershysad:

5106487
You could at least browse. If I went beyond a certain point, the RAM consumption on the internet browser I used would skyrocket and fuck me up my ear.:rainbowlaugh:

Then again, I only sought what, one or two max? I didn't feel the loss as they were already on other platforms.:trollestia:

5106607 I like the old line from the Ben Stiller "Mystery Men": "He fell down an elevator shaft onto some bullets."

5106610 I prefer online galleries with hard and fast posting rules. Easy to keep track of, easy to post to, and you can quickly identify the pedos and ban them... then find out where they live and make them 'suicided'. :pinkiecrazy:

5106626 Purely 'accidental'! They just tripped and fell onto the detonator! :pinkiecrazy:

5106618
I'm reminded of the trope 'The coroner doth protest too much'... and all the jokes associated with such.:trixieshiftright:

5106624
I believe that 4chan members have actually done that. Or was it goons from SomethingAwful?:trollestia:

Been quite a while since I read that anecdote...:moustache:

5106643 I got... 'family' ta take out da garbage, capiche? :trixieshiftright:

5106004
Which is why preventing the Holocaust would make things worse for everyone (yes, even the Jews; sacrificing 6 million of His supposedly chosen people to make discrimination against them unfashionable for the first time in history is something I can absolutely imagine YHVH doing, especially since it worked)

5109940 No, the ends do not justify the means, EVER.

The Holocaust resulted from the rest of the world deliberately turning a blind eye to what was happening. And in some cases, turning away boatloads of Jewish people trying to come to the USA (Ahem, that was FDR who did that. What a great guy, eh?).

This was no 'act of God', it was merely a portion of humanity giving in to their deepest and most depraved and insidious evil urgings. That deniers of an event so thoroughly documented (perhaps the most well-documented event of mass-murder in history, thanks much in part to the Germans themselves who kept disturbingly thorough records of everything, and the mountains of looted items, teeth and even hair from their victims) can still exist today is ample proof that the evil is still alive, waiting like hidden cancer cells that escaped chemotherapy, to grow and spread once again when we become complacent and overly comfortable.

5109946
That means quite a bit, given your usual persona.

The real point was that someone needed to show why eugenics was not just bad but outright evil, and Hitler at least targeted a group that nobody else liked instead of the general category of "undesirables" that would have made more sense while also being a much greater atrocity. I'd say that applying time travel to that point of history has an unacceptably high chance of backfiring spectacularly. (Also, I'm not actually religious; I condemn Him for the opacity of His machinations, and the fact that even in the Bible itself they lead to stuff like this and worse)

5109950 My 'usual persona' of trolling is a farce, at some times meant to illustrate the absurdity of the extremes and the dangers of taking ideations to their ultimate endpoint; at other times it's used to prod and annoy twits who are easily goaded with such things as pronouns.

I tend to think centuries ahead, which is how I manage to avoid making grievous errors. Unlike General Grievous, who made lots of mistakes! :trollestia:
