After a lot of thought, I've decided to rewrite the ending of the Invasion Arc. Meaning there will be a different ending than last time. If you're wondering why I chose to do this, it's because with the results from the new ending, there will be plenty of opportunities for character development, while the old one simply allowed me to return to the status quo for the most part.
The new versions will be denoted by the (Revised) in the title.
So now it's okay say I didn't like that arc ending?
I'm excited for this rewrite, which is OoC for me as I normally abhor post publish plot changes. But the midpoint of the invasion arc I felt like there was a quality drop off from everything before it.
Even though your publish rate dropped off (observation, not complaint) each new chapter felt like it had been rushed out or broken up to get something out.
So take your time, -i can't believe I'm saying this- write the whole arc before you publish it so you can change the setup of issues you find on the back end.
I'm stoked. Have fun. Feel free to ignore/insult anything I say.

No, your right. During the invasion arc, I was becoming (pardon the pun) disenchanted with the story. Frankly, I wasn't pleased with how the more action oriented arc meshed with the story nor how it affected my perception of the story as a whole.
I thought it would be a good way to bring about character development in a swifter format than the long, drawn out method I've been using. In the end, I realized I wanted to simply write fluff, so I started to dislike the arc. Which is why production slowed (on top of a lot of shit happening irl)
Now, however, I feel I can salvage the whole operation and still obtain the character development I craved.
If anything, I'd say this whole thing was a valuable learning experience. One I hope that doesn't need to be learned again in the future.
