it has been decided by the internet that the Highly classified United States Air Force facility located within the Nevada Test and Training Range called Homey Airport is Area 51 and over 1.5 million people are going to try and raid it, yes I'm certain that most of them are joking, but I really can't trust that out of that 1.5 million there arn't a few conspiricy nuts who are actualy going to try and raid the place.

Well, consider this:
Thousands upon thousands sign up for the raid. It's hyped up as a huge thing. Everyone flips their lid. September 20th rolls around... The thousands of wailing kids who signed up are kept home. A fair number of people don't have the money to fly to Nevada and stay home. For others it's their jobs, not giving them the time off. For some, it's loved ones calling them stupid and forcing them to stay. Then there's the people who were coaxed by their friends to sign up and had no desire to go from the beginning. And lastly, we need to weed out those who were influenced by mob mentality, peer pressure, and sudden bursts of adrenaline/alcohol. Then there's the select few who just signed up for a laugh and think the whole thing is stupid.
I imagine something like this will happen:
Maybe a hundred to three hundred people will show up. They'll look at the distant walls of Area 51, then their own teensy numbers. Given that this date has been hyped up, the US military is prepared. They vastly outnumber the "raiders" who have an impromptu barbecue and protest, then leave dejected. Even if they do charge the walls, the mob wil be of a manageable size and be no worse than some of the violent protests we hear about from time to time that are quelled by a combination of good field agents and tear gas. Beyond that, there are plenty of non-lethal rounds available to the National Guard that will be effective for putting down the stupid or prideful.
If they do charge the facility, I imagine a lot of people will have broken bones, broken spirits, and broken pride. If they are arrested, one of two things will happen. Either they will have some kind of lethal weapon on them and be arrested for trying to assault U.S. personnel, while those who are unarmed with possibly be heavily fined and detained for a few days. I can't imagine they'd want to flood the jails with that many protesters, and non-lethal protest is actually not such a terrible thing in the U.S. It's all about how the "protesters" word their explanations for why they're there.
