Trotcon 2019! · 2:04pm Jul 18th, 2019
It's that time of year again, Con season! First up is Trotcon, in Colombus Ohio going from the 19th to 21st. Should be oodles and boodles of fun. I have two panels running, the first being my QnA panel with myself and (hopefully) some other authors that I usually grab last minute.
Writers Waffling about Writing Willingly is a long standing Ohio con tradition. Starting out waaaaay back in Canterlot Gardens, and the name conceved by none other than Patchwork Poltergeist, it is a simple question and answer panel. Most writing panels, people tell you what to do, how to do it, and go over the basics, yadda yadda, things that most already know. Here at WWWW, we start off right into the questions for you guys, be it about writing, our own stories, or our whatever is needing to be asked! Be sure to stop in Friday at 2:30 pm.
My second panel is a workshop deal. Taking over for Present Perfect on it's... third year? Forth? I dunno, anyway, Speed Fics R Us is a writing panel where you're given an hour, a prompt consisting of two characters and a location, and if you wish typewriters!
That's right, typewriters! This year will be the most I've brought, 13! So my best guess is that two of them are going to randomly fail. We'll see. This panel is Saturday at 4 PM. You can hand write them, type them on your computer, or use one of my typewriters. There's nothing like the sound of 10 plus machines ticking away. If you've ever seen Saving Private Ryan, where all the ladies are typing away letters, it's kinda like that. Only with less depression over the fact you're telling people their sons, brothers, and fathers are dead, and more technicolored ponies doing weird things that could be depressing, or funny, or adventurous!
I won't be hard to miss. I got this big ol' badge on me with my name, I wear suspenders that will be covered in Big Mac pins, and I have my trade mark hat, and probably wandering around the convention in my slippers. (I'm on mobile typing this, so if you want pics you'll have to go through older blog posts for cons.)
I'm very approachable, so if you see me not totally engrossed with a potted plant or face down in the swimming pool, feel free to stop me and say hi! Forgive me if I don't remember names, but I always remember faces, so don't take any offense if I have forgotten you, or misplaced my memory of your username.
Also keep a look out, because usually as it gets late at night, I get random Uno games going in the lobby. They've been known to grow epic, and anyone's welcome to join.
Until then, turds and turdettes, see ya!
I'll see you there!

I hope so, I need warm bodies and Admiral Biscuit shirts for my panel on Friday.
5090491 I'll see both of you there!
It'll be a party.
Uno forever!
As usual, it was a blast. Danke.
