Okay just for a TDL. I'm going to focus on Unknown hero and only That.
As you saw on the last blog post that I asked if I should focus on one or two stories. You all vote for One, Unknown Hero (the successor to Unknown King). However, I'm not counting the votes on that post because I feel like I didn't do a good job making both of the stories seem good. So I'm doing a recount and explaining the first few chapters of both ideas.
But before I do I'll give a basic explanation that applies to both stories and something that people didn't figure out in Unknown King.
The equestrians and a few other races are human or human-ish. Just as an example: Earth Ponies are basically human, Unicorns are elves, and Pegisi are called Valkyries and look like humans but can magically summon wings. Not all races are Huminish. Dragons and a few others are still their show counterparts.
Idea one.
The opening is similar to Unknown King where Huxley is seen with his family and then the scene with the old man giving him his powers (the Omnitrix). After that, he finds himself in Equestria where he meets two women who mistake him for a changeling when he fails to give his name in a natural way. The two get the royal guards from Canterlot but then realize that Huxley might have amnesia and reason that is why he failed to answer their questions, The guards came via teleportation runes and arrest the two women and Huxley turns into Rath to fight the captain.
After a quick defeat, the three are taken to Canterlot where It is explained that Huxley isn't a changeling via Celestia noticing how he transforms. A quick apology is given and Celestia basically 'forces' Huxley into working for her (she uses the fact he has nowhere to go as the reason for working for her) and explains that during the royal wedding Twilight went insane and murdered the real Cadence before reveling Chrysalis as the fake and turning into Midnight Sparkle.
Idea two
During the royal wedding rehearsal as Chrysalis is making Twilight look bad, the real Cadence show's up with Huxley in alien form, revealing Chrysalis ploy and Celestia fights a distracted Chrysalis before she teleports away realizing she is in no condition to fight Celestia at her full power. Huxley is thanked for the help and paid, much to Applejack's dismay before flying off and reminiscing on how he arrived in Equestria and as he's flying the dreaded beeping of the Omnitrix forces him to crash in a graveyard where he finds the grave of a name that he knows and a date that shouldn't be for a long time, and he realizes that the grave is old too, fear consuming him he runs believing that he lost everything he gained.
A few days after the wedding applejack returns home and recounts the events of the rehearsal to Granny Smith who notes that Huxley is a familiar name and tells the tale of how a 150 years ago he saved her from the Timberwolves in her Zap Apple story and that he disappeared a few years later. Putting two and two together Applejack realizes that they are the same Huxley.
