    July 1st 2020 - Update

Well, well, well. Here I am! Sorry about the gap in blog posts (again). Been on more of a mental self-care. What with the world basically crumbling around us day by day. So you know, that's been what is keeping me so busy. That and trying to find a job, too. The good news is... my mental health has finally stabilized (for now). Found out what was causing my issues which was just one big well of

The True Nightmare ~ Replication - Repost

As promised I have set Replication for a repost. Auto-approval this time so it doesn't take all day. But regardless, I know I haven't made it much further than the previous chapter length, but, oddly enough, reposting it again has... oddly peaked a small little fire once more. Honestly I feel like I could return to this story very soon. And that's not just to sound like I'm puffing air out my

The Long Awaited Update + Info on the Current Situation

So! Just as I was feeling up to put up a blog, it seems like the world decided to lose its collective shit at the last possible moment. But as for how I'm doing? This'll be a short blog but I'll get the writing stuff out of the way before the important stuff.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic ~ Story Ideas · 5:03pm Jun 25th, 2019

Story Ideas

So. There’s quite a few stories I’ve had on the back-burner for a very… very long time. I just indulged way too far into The True Nightmare so now I need to just… unleash them upon you and see which ones stick. I shall do so with a short description and idea for each one and see which ones sound good to you guys. With that I’ll just shut my mouth and get on with it.

1st Story ~ Blind Innocence

So this first story is an original idea. I’ve actually gotten a couple chapters written out. It’s a story that was inspired by Cerulean Voice’s, Diamond Eyes. It’s basically about a filly, a blind filly (look at the originality here) whose lost her parents to the sea. That and it was done by a serpent that targeted the ferry she was on. It was also a bit of inspiration from my own foster sister, and trying to delve into a character like that.

To see what happens when someone is put into that situation. And how they cope with it. In turn she’d be one of the POV’s. Princess Celestia is the second one and is the mare who’d be, as the story progresses, the eventual adoptive mother of said filly. And it’d explore the feeling of a character who didn’t entirely plan on ever raising someone, but had this responsibility thrust upon them. So hopefully I’d do this sensitive topic some justice, considering I’ve had a familiar situation like this with said adopted sister.

2nd Story ~ Dream of the Blood Moon

This second story is a crossover. It was a while back when I thought it up and was a crossover with the game, Bloodborne. It was all through my love of that game’s atmosphere, its lovecraftian and gothic vibe, which really stuck with me for a long while. Even to this day I regard Bloodborne as one of my most favorite games of all time. That being said, here’s what I remember of the story.

It’d be focused on Luna, who’d be the main POV throughout the story. Her dreamscape would slowly reveal to her another world far beyond their own. And once she would visit this world, she’d find it would be the dream version of Yharnam and such. But once her mind would begin to wander here over days of exposure she’d find that she would soon become trapped inside this horrible dream.

Her only hope would be surviving throughout the very rigorous trials that would lay in wait for her. The other idea, which I don’t know if it would work now, would be that it’d also focus the player’s Hunter as a secondary part to the story. And maybe have him interact with Princess Luna in his own silent ways. I also believe this story was inspired by Viking ZX’s Doom crossover, as his portrayal of the quiet Doom Slayer is by far the best one I’ve read.

More of a twist on the idea was that not only would they be fighting the monsters of the world. But that Luna, specifically, would have to fight or reason with other Hunters who were either slowly losing their minds and or trying to survive in this mad world. Whether that idea still sticks or not is beyond me but I had five Hunter characters planned out so in case it all comes back to me, and this story idea is picked, I’m game for trying to recreate it.

3rd Story ~ From the Darkness

This third story is an original idea. I don’t remember it too well, but I do recall it had something that was inspired from Stranger Things. That it had something to deal with a dark dimension of sorts. An Equestria that was dead like the other version of Earth in said Netflix Original. Now I don’t quite remember it but I do know it had something to do with ancestry, and exploring the darker nature of the spiritual world.

It’s definitely the weakest idea here with what little I remember, but it’s here at least in case anyone is interested.

4th Story ~ From Tides Past

This fourth story was an inspiration from an original story on the site. I don’t quite remember the name, but before Hippogriffons were a thing (who were also apparently Hippocampi as well), I kept thinking over this idea for a bit. And I started this process by making a character. I never got too far on the story’s thoughts, but I remember the story being an original one. Involving the girls and whatnot.

Now with my new headcanon I can actually see some interesting stuff happening. But I never got the story idea down. It’s a bit weak but I thought it’d be fun idea especially noting my love for both water elements in stories.

5th Story ~ Inexperience in Words

This fifth story was a bit more… personal. The idea was formed from a more turbulent moment of my life. Feeling weak. Unable to feel confident. It wasn’t my… best moments. But it would follow a unicorn mare who has ancestral ties to the old Clover the Clever. Something she herself has tried to live up to but never was able due to her own weak magic. It’d be a story of rebirth, basically.

With the original character interacting with the girls, most specifically Twilight and Rarity. As the story revolves around rebirth it was either Twilight or Rarity was being something sort of like… a life coach, if that makes any sense. It’s still quite personal of a story but I’d be open to writing this if you were all interested?

6th Story ~ Not Normal

This sixth story was an inspired story from the game, Little Nightmares. It takes a more vampiric turn instead of the actual game. It’d also be my first vampire story ever. The idea was that the protagonist, a little filly, finds herself in a similar situation of the main “protagonist” from Little Nightmares. Her mother would abandon her due to realizing her daughter holds a similar beauty to her.

This becomes the main progression of a story as the filly tries to learn how to live in a world where she’s not normal in the slightest. Another story that interacts with the girls and possibly even the princesses. It’d also be another original story.

7th Story ~ Project Aer

This seventh story was an original idea and the most recent one. It stems from my own headcanon about the world of MLP. This is similar in vein to A Flame Rekindled, in the sense that it explores a character not from Equestria. This time around it’s a dragon. A dragon with the element of air and her transition from the greedy and more antagonistic nature that dragons have, to a more collected and calm individual.

It’d also be an explanation of one of my headcanon ideas. And I feel it’d be an interesting story exploring what it’s like to go from one mindset to another. Sort of similar to The Self’s Truth, but with a more violent force of nature. That and an exploration into my headcanon’s world and all the interesting changes I’ve made to just about everything.

8th Story ~ Pyramid of Enmity

This eighth story came to me from the YouTube series known as Death Battle. But it’d be more of a story type version. In this case the girls along with Princess Celestia, Cadance, Luna, Shining Armor, and the EqG versions along with Starlight and Sunset, go through a series of data trials. Well, it’s more the EqG versions starting it, then through these combat experiences, growing corrupted from the trauma of how real these data fights are, and the pony versions have to go and rescue them, while also trying to deal with these frightening realistic battles.

The antagonist in question is the being who made this temple (in which the data battles happen), and her attempts at doing this are backed by a need to improve the girl’s power, as she fears that friendship can only get one so far. In essence, she only wants to some good by helping them in a way she’s only seen work. So it’d be an interesting idea of friendship vs. the individual.

9th Story ~ Soulless Equinity

This ninth story was, unsurprisingly, another inspiration. It came from the game series, Dark Souls, but this one is not a crossover. Instead it’s an original idea for the first Dark Souls game with Twilight Sparkle being the main protagonist for this story. It’d have her going throughout the story, surviving, trying to get back to Canterlot, and finding out the cause of this apocalyptic world she awoke to.

It’d also be exploring the idea of what it feels like to be a Hollow, and the worry of Twilight losing some of her sanity due to the repeated deaths she would endure across this story.

10th Story ~ The Forgotten Era

This tenth story was a crossover idea from (you guessed it), an inspired story. In fact, it was from a writer on this site who was doing a crossover himself. It is a crossover with Jurassic Park, what is to be considered my favorite movie of all time. It’d take place (surprisingly) during the sequel. Before I get the comments, yes, I know the sequel is very much inferior to the original. But there was something about the sequel I loved.

The dark themes of the second were what drew me to it, the grittiness of the situation. The consequences for having done such a thing as bringing back ancient life and the consequences of trying to patent it. Something like what the most recent Jurassic World movie tried (only for a bit of an unfortunate failure). It’d be another story that would focus on Twilight but with an original character alongside her (a unicorn kirin), and it's either taking place after Twilight’s ascension or prior.

Although it’d follow the movie premise instead of the book’s. The books, as great as they are, were a bit too… full of technological babble. Still very great though. It’d also be Twilight exploring her world’s paleontology and then having the chance to go to our Earth (at least in the 90’s) and seeing what that’s like. And of course… getting more than she bargained for.

11th Story ~ The Nine Lords

This eleventh story was an original idea inspired by Tolkien’s book series, Lord of the Rings. At this point I should keep a count of how many times I use the word inspired. It’d actually come close to resembling Destinies Intertwined, but, more or less, my own backstory headcanon of MLP. But in any case. The idea is as goes. I remember hearing here and there about crazy theories that the world of MLP used to be full of humans before ponies took over.

The inspiration is a bit of something akin to Tolkien’s world but the story idea is that there used to be an ancient evil that covered the lands in darkness. And all that used to live died before the light returned. But not all of it was destroyed. And there were nine human lords from long ago (the nazgul), who were reawakened into the current world. And the princesses (being more of the main focus this time around) were going to have to find a way to rid the world of these seemingly unkillable nine lords.

Either I’d connect them to some dark lord or something else of that caliber.

12th Story ~ The Self’s Truth

This twelfth story was something of an idea that just… kind of came to me. It’s another personal story but not as severe as Inexperience in Words. It’d be… well, to say it outright, a self insert of sorts. That being my writer alias, Feather Note. The idea kind of came out as a fun way to see how he’d (I in this case) would interact with the girls. Specifically Twilight. Not for the reasons that usual self-inserts go.

It’d be more of an interesting idea to see what happens when someone like Twilight, a mare who sees just sees two sides to every situation, and would rather help someone onto her side, would interact with someone like me, who sees everything in a gray compared to some people in the real world. And how it’d either be my viewpoint that gave into hers, or what it would do to someone who only saw black and white, and naturally change their viewpoints to a more gray area.

It’d be more of an exercise of a philosophical debate and a bit relevant in our current period of strife.

Them’s the Concepts

There we go. Twelve story ideas all for show. I hope they were given enough explanation to let you all have a decent idea as to what I’m going for with each concept. Although, unfortunately, I can’t really promise that these will be the only ideas. As my brain likes to be creative I’ll probably end up making more and more stories no matter what. But for now, that’s what I got, and I hope to hear from you soon.

I like ideas number 1, 2, 6, and 8.

Yay. XD I'll make sure to try writing for some of these in the future. Just depends on how many people are in support of one concept.

I really like the idea 1st Story ~ Blind Innocence. the only thing suggest would making the adopted mother Luna rather then Tia. This may be my own personal preference to the light of the moon to the light of the sun. as I believe Luna might see it as a far greater challenge then Tia would. And it certainly wouldn't be something she would ever expect to happen to her.

5080839

Hmm. An interesting thought. I'll consider it, give it some time to marinate.

I would say the 8th, the 9th or the 10th.

5082452

Ooh. Real good choices. We'll see, though. I'll post the tally once the voting is done.

5082453
I also had this idea of a story in my head, about the 4 princesses joining a contest to determine which of them is the Best Princess. A contest involving pillow fight, hoofwrestling, eating the most hayburgers, a race, and various other things. Feel free to use it if you are interested.

5082456

Huh... a rather comedic and nonsensical story idea. I'll keep it in mind.
