Chapter 4, Discord, Patreon and a Thank You From Me. · 4:28am Jun 24th, 2019
So first things first, I am both incredibly happy and surprised about how well received chapter 3 was for A Sunset Across the Galaxy. In my head when I was writing it and then rewriting it I was thinking "Would the readers really be OK with The Dazzlings showing up?" and after seeing you all talk about how you want more characters from the EQG verse in the story, I decided to go with my gut and add them and I don't regret it for a moment.
I have never had more fun writing a chapter or dialogue than I did when I was writing chapter 3 and currently Chapter 4 which I am aiming to have released by Thursday if not earlier, is shaping up to be just as much fun as it's sister chapter. I am hoping to have the fourth chapter be about as long if not longer than chapter 3 so we'll see, it's kind of become a small goal for me to have each successive chapter be slightly longer than the one before it, maybe one day we'll get to the point where I'm writing 10k Chapters!
Onto other news, if you haven't joined up already the Sunset Across the Galaxy Discord Is now up and waiting for members! Come discuss the story, Star Wars Lore or just hang out with us! I am on their every day talking with my editors, and would love to have more people to discuss general Star Wars lore with.
Also, as the title says, I have launched a Patreon! I don't expect anything to really come about from it and I don't want to come on here begging for money or anything like that, but the Patreon is their for anyone willing to donate and help me free up time to really crack into writing. Part of the reason chapter 3 took so long in the first place, besides me writing it on a dying 6 year old desktop, was because of my current job bumping up hours and taking away the nights i normally leave for writing. Even this week I am working every day, with Sunday (Today) and Thursday being my only days off and as anyone who writes knows, it takes more than a day to write, proof read, and rewrite a chapter to a story and that's not even taking into account technical difficulties.
I don't want this to seem like I'm selling out or anything, My stories are just as hot blooded and free as I am! The Patreon is just their as a way for anyone who wants to show their support in a physical way.
Besides that though, what do you get for becoming a Patron? Well head on over and have a look, and even if you decide you don't want to become one, no biggie! Sunset Shimmer will continue her journey across the stars no matter what, and Other stories I have planned will still be published!
From the bottom of my hear though, Thank you so much for all of your support, it's really gotten me out of the funk I've been in for the last year and a half, and I can't wait to continue writing with you guys!
