I'm Still Alive, I SWEAR!!! · 3:02am May 29th, 2019
It's been kinda (and by kinda, I mean INSANELY) crazy...
Basics of what's been going on since my last post:
- Mom had to have a hip replacement surgery back in February.
- There's been a bunch of issues with Hubby and I, and now we're in couples counseling. Further, I'm seeing my own therapist for other, but related, issues.
- My depression has been on a friggin' yo yo, mostly on the down swing...
BUT, in most recent news, I made the trip to see my darling goddaughter/mini-me/little sister, Penny, graduate from high school!
2500 mile round-trip in four days was rough, but TOTES worth it... I'm SUPER proud of her finally making it to this point, despite all the obstacles in her way.
Anyways... I'm super wiped out because work is still sucking out my soul... I still have no ETA on when I'll be posting either of my WIP stories... but hopefully, once Syl finishes Broken Crystal, he can help me wade through them.

Hope your Mum's recovery is going well. Sorry to hear that there are issues on the relationship side but good to know you are taking action to work on them. Understandable that the depression will be exacerbated by the kerfuffles in your life and wish you success in keeping the 'black dog' at bay.

Thanks. MomCord's recovery's gone really well, which is how she was able to help me make the drive to see Penny's Graduation.
Honestly, fighting depression is a lot like fighting cancer... because it never truly goes away... It just goes into remission. And meds don't make it go away, they just make it so I can handle it better. But the therapy has been bringing a lot of ugly things about me out into the light and it doesn't help... but I'm also working to rectify those things, so... it kinda balances out? I guess?
