Sweet and Smoky/A Friendship is Magic Season 9 Review · 5:20pm May 28th, 2019

GOOD AFTERNOON, FIMFICTION FANATICS!!! This is the Dramamaster829; Critic, Actor, Writer, Motivational Speaker, and Occasional Singer, keeping you up to date with the latest news for the final season of MLP! You know, I may be a critic with very little identity not revealing much of myself to just anyone (Not even describing what I look like in ‘most’ of my reviews). And yet it should be noted that I’m more than just some random guy who watches a show about ponies, for I am a man of many fascinating subjects. Among which is the subject of today’s episode:

Dragons, one of the most powerful of all beings, at least in ‘fiction’ anyway. Stories go on of how these imaginary creatures have giant wings for flight and some possessing magical powers but the most common ‘breathing fire’. Even before getting fully invested with the ‘Friendship is Magic’ series, I wouldn’t go as far to say I’m a huge ‘dragon fan’ but they’ve grown into a particular favorite subject in many forms of media. One of the first motion pictures I’ve seen in theaters was ‘Dragonheart’ (Even though the writing is poor in certain areas), my favorite books are the ‘The Inheritance Cycle’ books (‘Eragon’ specifically) and ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ (Course I’ve paid more attention to the books than the actual television series), and I was even fascinated during a trip to a cave when a tour guide mentioned how a dragon was involved in it’s formation (Only to eventually learn it was all just for humor). So, when I heard there’d be some Dragons involved during this show, not just with Spike, I was interested in getting to see what the colony would be like and… I was greatly disappointed.

Then again, having seen ‘The Hobbit’ trilogy and read the book beforehand, most of the dragons we’ve seen during this show fit the stereotypes. They are greedy beasts hoarding all their treasures, they would smash eggs and scourge villages just for fun, and they seem to thrive on proving they are the strongest race constantly competing with each other. Now some of the Dragons I’ve been most invested in have proven that dragons aren’t entirely savage, some are wise with years of knowledge beyond understanding and one can say they’ve shown they have a diverse personality. But sadly, when it comes to most of the Dragons on this show, specifically the teenagers, I generally despised every moment they were on screen (Especially considering most of them are obnoxious bullies). Now there have been some exceptions like Spike and Smolder for example, but when it comes to dragons like Garble… It makes me watch ToucanLDM’s video on ‘Iron-Man’ beating him up and his posse just for my own personal enjoyment.

I will admit I wasn’t particularly excited when I heard that there would be an episode getting the group back into the Dragon Lands. Then again, there were a ton of material from the synopsis alone that filled me with questions. Smolder having a brother that was hinted in a ‘previous’ episode, Fluttershy going into the Dragon Lands (Despite her initial fears), and for whatever reason the Dragon Eggs weren’t hatching. But then I reminded myself that as a Critic I did have a job to do delivering my thoughts and I would admit I was naturally curious about certain plot elements so I figured, ‘Eh, I’ll give it a shot just to see what happens’. So, without further ado, we prepare to dive into the latest episode entitled:

Sweet and Smoky

No, it has nothing to do with a brand of barbecue sauce... I learned this one the hard way.

Warning: The following review contains spoilers, if you haven’t seen the episode please skip now.

The Story

Is this a teacher’s lounge or a hotel lobby because… Dang!

After the events of a rather impressive ‘villains’ episode, as the series returns to the Slice of Life of the ponies it was essential to determine if the episode would prove to be a decent follow-up. Though it should be worth noting that when the writer of this episode happens to be the same one who gave us ‘Non-Compete Clause’, which is arguably the WORST episode in the entire series, it’s not difficult to understand why no one going in would be confident with this episode. But here we proceed with Smolder coming in to meet with headmare, Princess Twilight Sparkle. Not because Smolder herself is in any trouble (Least not like Cozy Glow’s passive-aggressive comments on her heritage), but rather she needs to miss school… For a week.

That’s kind of like my boss when I said I needed two weeks off for a vacation.

Even though the reason being is because Smolder’s ‘sweet’ and ‘sensitive’ brother is having a difficult time and needs her help, it’s understandable why Twilight is hesitant. It’s not just because she’d be missing so much class (Though for Twilight, that is a big deal) but the last thing she’d want is having the Dragons confronting her about one of their own going off by themselves (Worse case scenario they’d wage war on the ponies ‘Hobbit’ style). But leave it to Spike to suggest this as a “kindness field trip” in hopes she gets school credit.

Let’s face it: We just wanted more scenes of this ‘Spider’ pairing (I could’ve picked a worse name, mind you).

Now this is a rather interesting approach. You’d think if this were a friendship problem, it be another chance to reintroduce the map for this season (Which hasn’t been used since the latter portion of Season 8). But rather, a student has a family emergency and under advisement from Twilight, she initially has Spike tag along to investigate what’s going on. But for me, my biggest surprise in this entire course is when Smolder brings up that it’s the dragon hatching season… And Fluttershy, of the entire Mane Six, willingly volunteers to come along to see the newly hatched baby dragons.

Move aside Applejack, Fluttershy makes the duck face look adorable.

Now I should be discussing this more in the ‘characters’ section, but I know what everyone’s thinking: Fluttershy… And the Dragon Lands. If we recall that in the past few seasons, unless it’s a baby dragon, if any pony were to put the word ‘Dragon’ in a conversation with Fluttershy she’d be stiff as a statue. We all know Fluttershy is ‘terrified’ when it comes to Dragons, especially the big ones who can swallow an army of ponies in one bite if it wanted to. The one counterargument I can make over what seems to be un-characteristic of Fluttershy is the fact this bears some callback to Fluttershy’s first meeting of Spike and their initial first contact. So it was definitely going to be interesting as to how well Fluttershy’s role turns out to be for this initial episode (Although, I should say this: It’s ‘not’ a Fluttershy episode).

Is it wrong for me to say this is a metaphor to the border between America and Mexico? Yes? Well, I apologize in advance.

As we progress with this story, there’s one thing that redeems itself when comparing it to ‘Non-Compete Clause’: Adventure. Don’t get me wrong, it’s never a bad thing having a simple slice-of-life story, but for me it’s the adventure episodes and exploring exotic locations that drive my interest in this series. While I wasn’t particularly looking forward to the Dragon Lands, knowing what was coming, I admit I was essentially curious as to who Smolder’s brother is given at this point we barely have anything to work with. All we have to work with is that Smolder’s brother is simply looking for a dragon who can accept him for who he is and given this Dragon is supposedly as different as Spike, Smolder hopes the two can get along. At this point, before we even get to the big reveal, amidst the volcanic rocks and mountains there is a treasure that is more precious than gold and jewels combined…

Don’t forget to insert ‘Hallelujah’ music here.

We almost forget just how big the Dragon Race truly is, if that one sequence during the ‘Dragon Migration’ didn’t prove anything. Though you can’t help but wonder if nesting ground is where all the Dragons gather their eggs or if there was a party going on at this one spot. Someone counted at least 200 eggs in total and humans have complained they have the population problem. And let’s not forget at least the ‘one’ Dragon I do like in the entire colony (Besides Smolder, who’s grown on me a bit).

Kneel before the ‘Ultimo Dragon’.

Although just as stubborn and against any concept of friendship as any Dragon, I will admit Ember has this cool factor to her that keeps fans like me invested in her character. Plus, let’s face it, she is smarter than most of the dragons who either waste their time lava surfing or tail-wrestling just to prove anything. Even given her slim stature, that should not overshadow her power to lead a colony and time again she’s proven she’s no lady to mess with (And a fierce temper to boot). Could you imagine how ‘busy’ this Dragon Lord was if she had been laying all these eggs?

Does this body look like it’s been laying eggs to you?!?!?!

Sorry, bad joke… My bad!

*Clears throat* Anywho, the hot issue right now is not so much ‘whom’ have been laying all these eggs but rather… Why the eggs have not been hatching? Heck, Ember herself clearly has no idea how to properly care for the eggs herself.

That face parents give to teenage moms having a child.

Fortunately for Ember, even though this episode is not about Fluttershy, Ember is glad she can possibly help being that she’s the one pony who knows how to care for every creature (Even if Ember humorously can’t remember her name). As such, it is Fluttershy’s job to team with the Dragon Lord to determine why the eggs are not hatching and when the mystery is solved it would be Fluttershy’s honor to welcome the babies into the world.

Fluttershy is just savoring the moment of being Best Pony right now.

Sadly, the moment feels ruined by the arrival of some of my least favorite characters in this entire show:

I don’t know who’s worse: Garble or Rufio from ‘Hook’.

Teenage Dragons… They really give the Dragons in this universe a really bad name. In typical fashion, the Dragons once again pick on Spike for his diminutive size and his upbringing living with ponies. And this is where I’m almost sensing why fans didn’t like this writer, as if she forgot that Spike originally won the competition to become the Dragon Lord though passing it on to Ember afterwards. It’s like repeating the fact there ‘was’ a lesson to learn and it goes completely over the Dragons’ heads (But then it’s Garble and his posse, so no surprise). If there is one thing to note is that we are introduced to… Laugh fire?

I’m sensing some ‘Monsters Inc.’ vibes which I’ll discuss later.

So apparently a Dragon’s flame can change color based on their mood, almost like an unspoken fact about these creatures. Then again, I’ve once seen a Dragon have the ability to project ice breath in ‘Dragonheart: A New Beginning’ (A film almost nobody will talk about). Surprisingly enough, that’s not even the big surprise we’ve been waiting to see. At this point, we are finally going to learn from Smolder the identity of her brother. Now this I got to see…

*Sips a cup of coffee*

*Spits violently*… WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Garble… Smolder’s brother? Garble… The ‘oldest’ brother to Smolder?! At this point, when we got to this moment, I’m still scratching my head at this turn of events. Garble, the Dragon who for many episodes made a habit of picking on Spike for being different and threatening to smash some phoenix eggs out of boredom, is supposed to be the ‘sensitive’ brother Smolder claims he is?

Are you sure it’s not the Orange-and-purple dragon on the left?

Apparently, Garble has been acting moody and distant in Smolder’s absence which I admit I would find hard to believe. But based on Smolder’s depiction of her brother, the whole ‘tough-guy’ act is only a mask he uses as a front for his friends, a ‘burnt marshmallow’ in her words (Hence the title). If it were anyone else, they’d be hightailing out of there not wanting anything to do with a person who’s been nothing but a selfish jerk (Just like me and some members on this site I REFUSE to name). Sadly, under Smolder’s insistence, not only is Spike needed to get along with Garble, but she also makes it clear to him that he needs to let Spike hep him with his issues.

And if you don’t, I promise you’ll be sipping cold tea for the rest of your days!

Speaking of tea…

All that's missing is the dress and the make-up with Garble in a tux and top hat.

This is but one of the few activities Spike had planned for Smolder’s ‘sensitive’ brother, up until we discovered it was Garble… Urgh I’m cringing with these next few moments. But anyways, in a way we do get to see just how close Garble and Smolder are. Secret handshakes, him opening up to her for his hobbies (Which I will get into later), so one would think with all these activities Spike hopes they can form some common ground. In the end, however, it all ends just as we expect: Torment, rejection, and abject humiliation.

This is me after eating the Ghost Pepper wings at ‘Buffalo Wild Wings’.

I am the bigger dragon… I am the bigger dragon… I am the bigger dragon…

A subtle way of showing he’s a ‘baby dragon’ but come on writers! Give him a break!

Anyone who was still questioning how ‘Garble’ is the sensitive, misunderstood brother would be justified with their doubts? The bully characters were never my favorite on this show, Garble even makes Diamond Tiara look tame. It’s like Garble hates Spike so much that the only thrill he gets is making him look bad just to satisfy himself. Then again, I will feel for Garble not being comfortable with the ‘Gar-Gar’ nickname (Least it’s not as bad as the nickname I got in the 9th grade… Jerks). Still I’d rather go back to Mother Fluttershy’s attempt to hatch the eggs and…

And he will carry me away to his castle, where we will live happily ever after…

*Pause* I’m going to give her some space (She needs a boyfriend, bad!).

*Clears throat* So while Garble, Smolder, and the teenage dragons go lava surfing, after some redirection, it’s understandable to allow Spike to stay behind in his misery. In a way this is near similar to Mickey’s attempts to get Donald into the Christmas Spirit during ‘Snowed in at the House of Mouse’. Every attempt they make to get their friends cheery and happy all seems to end in vain, that no matter what Spike does Garble is missing out on being himself. In a way, it almost makes this episode feel like pointless filler.

You want the true definition of failure: Just look at the pouty dragon face.

As Spike and Fluttershy lament on how their attempts have failed, one that the eggs won’t hatch and Garble’s revelation as Smolder’s brother, they are again harassed by the dragons dodging lava balls. It’s like Dodgeball in high school… A ‘very’ dangerous game of Dodgeball. Fortunately, all Fluttershy would need to do is bring on the ‘stare’ and…

DROP YOUR WEAPONS AND STAND AT ATTENTION, MAGGOTS!!!

*Pause, wide-eyed*

Holy… Shit! And this is the same Fluttershy who was intimidated by Dragons during the early seasons (Then again, she did talk down a big dragon to tears so…). Anyway, I will say as far as character development Fluttershy has slowly changed with years of experience. Once again displaying her assertiveness without coming off as mean, but she does make it clear she’s no ‘Wallflower’ anymore.

I don’t know who you are, but I will find you and I will kill you!

As if all the Dragons teasing Garble about being sensitive was bad enough, but being talked down by a fluffy pony… No wonder Garble’s self-esteem is at an all-time low.

And we thought it was tough when Sonny was confronted by Principal McGee in ‘Grease’.

Seeing at how both their tasks seem fruitless, Spike and Fluttershy decide to switch tasks thinking they’d be more successful. As for Ember’s attempts at getting the eggs to hatch…

Okay, first of all, Ember, you’ve been pregnant for like six years. Either have the baby or don’t.

THEY’RE NOT MY KIDS YOU INSENSITIVE JERK!!!

Sorry, sorry!

All joking aside, we got to admit Ember using the pony-like affection to get the eggs to hatch was adorable. Like someone just introduced to parenting for the first time and have no idea what they are doing. Still, all these eggs do throughout the whole episode is shake as rapidly as Rhythm Eggs (Which I would only know about from a rather underappreciated kids show in the 90s). Anywho, we can’t have a Spike and Ember episode without the traditional greeting.

It’s like Penny’s awkward hugs with Sheldon Cooper (God, I miss the show already).

Actually, come to think of it, it’s a good thing that Spike ‘did’ switch with Fluttershy for the task of handling the eggs. While Fluttershy was too busy giving motherly affection and reading bedtime stories, though you have to admit she had many cute faces, leave it to Spike to notice why the eggs have done nothing but ‘shake’. As it turns out, the ground is too cold for the eggs.

When you have the kid checking for heat issues with a parent, something’s gone wrong.

As it turns out, Garble’s friends redirecting the lava from the underground lake wasn’t just a random turn of events (Or an excuse to see them take hot baths). Turns out, their selfish motivations are unintentionally endangering the eggs from hatching and thus putting their entire species at risk. It’s like when humans unintentionally redirect the water from the streams, ultimately depriving the animals and plants of their water source (That’ll give the nature enthusiasts a run for their money). Then again, if I were in Ember’s place, I’d be pissed too.

MY EGGS OR NOT, IF THOSE CHILDREN DIE YOU ARE DOG MEAT!!!

While the Dragons are assembled to heat up the eggs himself (What they don’t sit on eggs in this colony?), Fluttershy goes to search for Garble hoping to appeal to his better nature he stubbornly keeps hidden. Much to her surprise, as well as mine admittingly, we discover why Smolder insists that Garble is her ‘sensitive’ brother…

Beret… Striped shirt… Scarf… Oh God, he’s a beatnik!!!

Okay, he’s actually a ‘beat poet’ but they are pretty much the same thing. Anywho, just as Smolder talks to Garble about her liking tea parties and all the girly stuff ponies aren’t scared to share, Garble’s way of expressing his feelings is through delivering rhymes and beating the bongos. In a way, the fact he keeps this talent hidden from his friends reminds me of that episode when Skull from ‘Power Rangers’ kept his piano playing a secret from Bulk or else he’d be ridiculed for the rest of his life. While people would feel bad with his struggles to repress his creativity, for me it was no excuse to pick on Spike, just because he is proud of his own choice to be himself and all of which to avoid being picked on himself. Boy, Fluttershy will have none of that:

The fact she’s helping Garble but defending Spike, I just say I’m liking seeing Garble put down.

When it all comes together, the story is tied together by a huge moral: Never hide behind bullying to prevent yourself from being hurt. It’s one thing for a person’s desire to change for the better (Which is ‘one’ of the few changes I’d accept, given my nature). But it’s also important not to forget who you ‘were’, who you ‘are’, and who you ‘want’ to become or everyone will think you’re a bully for the rest of your life. Now it’s no secret I will ‘never’ forgive people for acting like bullies especially on this site, hence why I made it clear I’d ‘never’ unblock them even if they begged for forgiveness. The fact is: I am a ‘forgiving’ person, but to an ‘extent’ yet that’s just the way I am and frankly, if no one else is proud of that but myself… That’s all the satisfaction I need.

Besides, given everything Spike has done throughout the show and proving time and time again he’s more than just the sidekick who makes snappy remarks, Garble has no right to pick on the little dragon anymore (Since Spike again ‘won’ the Dragon Lord competition). Yet it’s at this moment where the ending starts to feel a bit… Abrupt. And it all happens while the Dragons are struggling to get their eggs to hatch.

On the other hand, there’s enough eggs to make Omelettes (Boy my humor is off today).

But it’s at this moment, when all seems loss and the threat of extinction is at hand (And not by outside forces either), a hero emerges to save the day…

The one-time Spike and Garble are in a scene and it’s not to one-up the other.

While it was obvious that all the other dragons would laugh at Garble for his beat poetry, we are reminded of a Dragon’s most powerful quality: Laughter.

I don't know about you, but I definitely got ‘Spyro: Year of the Dragon’ vibes with this.

I will admit I initially thought that if any other pony other than Fluttershy had been involved, you’d think it would be Twilight Sparkle. Way back in Season 1, to get into Celestia’s school all she needed to do was hatch out an egg and it took some powerful magic (And a Sonic Rainboom) to bring the lovable Baby Dragon into the hearts of the fans. Kind of makes you wonder how strong these flames had to be just to get all these eggs to hatch like this. Then again, we saw how effective laughter was in ‘Monsters Inc.’ bringing in more energy than screams so the parallels with this episode I admit are remarkable. Otherwise, this was just an excuse to make Garble look good and everyone else worms compared to Ember.

You’re already on my list, boys! Don’t make it worse!

On the note of the ending feeling abrupt, Garble embracing his true self wins the day and suddenly he’s a hero before the Dragon Lord? I know this episode is about encouraging others to celebrate his differences, rather than mocking, yet I feel for the fans who wonder if this means Garble and Spike will start having some newfound respect for each other or if he’s just going to let this hero business get to his head (Hopefully not as bad as ‘Princess Spike’). For me, it was difficult to know for sure if things have truly worked out because of how rushed this ending was. But then again, everyone got to have a moment and while I don’t consider this my favorite episode, it still worked up some charm and there were some moments that made me chuckle. If all else, it warms my heart when we get nods to Season 1 with Fluttershy and the Baby Dragons.

Careful Flutters, Angel won't be happy if you decide to bring them home.

The Characters

Pros:

How can I not put them in the ‘Pros’ section with those eyes?

On a serious note, this episode was made to highlight not just Spike, but also Smolder and Fluttershy. Considering that this was essentially their episode especially when it comes to Garble (I’ll get to him later). And if anything, this was Spike’s moment to prove that he ‘is’ the bigger dragon (No pun intended) and he was not going to let Garble get to him any longer…

But dude I really could not take him seriously with that blanket.

I will admit there were some moments I felt Spike was not going to accomplish his goals. With Garble taking every chance to make a mockery of him and all the abuse Spike has had to endure, if it were anyone else they’d have cut their losses and ditch them like a lost cause. But this wasn’t just Spike wanting to prove he can be friends with Garble and it wasn’t just to prove he is ‘better’, Spike wanted to prove how much he’s grown from being the Dragon who is either left out of many adventures or made to be a pushover (In some cases, doing things for personal gain). Spike may have seemingly given up when all attempts to appeal to Garble weren’t working, but it was him who saved the day when he discovered the source of the problem involving the Dragon Eggs. Course, Spike would not have stuck around for long if it weren’t for Smolder.

You’ve been picking on my friend for seven years and you thought I wouldn’t find out?!

Leave it to Smolder to be the one Dragon who knows Garble better than… Well, pretty much any of us really. While I admit that Garble being Smolder’s brother was a surprise for me (Given how very little they resemble each other), if there was a Dragon Smolder can share her secret hobbies with it be with Garble, who in turn has secrets of his own. Course, Smolder was definitely not happy when it turned out Garble had been bullying Spike for years but it’s quite clear the two are more than just brother-and-sister but about as close to best friends (Even if Dragons don’t believe in it). This episode goes to show how Smolder has changed since Season 8. Initially she seemed like the typical tough girl, when it’s clear she does display a caring personality and it is she, along with Ember, who encourage the Dragons that from now on all differences should be embraced and not ostracized. In a way it makes the episode feel mature in a way some adults can relate with and Smolder is a prime example of encouraging a more positive influence.

I hope someone does fanart of Fluttershy in a beat poet outfit, that’d be cool.

Now being the one pony to be prominently featured in the entirety of this episode (Though Twilight makes a few brief showings), I was still stunned Fluttershy willingly went to the Dragon Lands in this episode (Given how she wouldn’t watch the migration). But if any character has truly developed far in this series overall, the fact Fluttershy would join the others in their trip to the road of the ‘big’ Dragons and all to help the baby hatchlings goes to show how much the years have changed her. Nearly every sequence we have is Fluttershy draws quite a reaction: From her adorable motherly nature with the babies to displaying her assertiveness towards the Dragons (Especially with Garble), even this one brief scene where she’s playing the bongos was both surprising and enjoyable. It’s like the writers just know what to put together when it comes to Fluttershy, almost as if we are seeing this normally shy pony at her strongest. Granted, this wasn’t a huge Fluttershy episode and the very few scenes where Fluttershy and Spike together weren’t as enough as we’d hope, but for me what keeps her in the Pros section is all those comedic scenes we do see that more than make up for it. Least they got to work together for some scenes in the 200th episode, so there’s that.

They can live in my new world or they can die in their old one.

Give it to Ember, she may not understand friendship entirely and seemingly clueless about hatching eggs, but when it comes to her friends or what’s best for her colony she doesn’t mess around. We see that she was willing to learn from the ponies if it could help hatch the babies, even that moment where she frustratingly tried to be motherly would make almost anyone laugh. Ember may not come off as a ‘touchy feeling’ kind of character, but her struggles not just with raising a colony but attempting to be a potential parent speaks to others very deeply on the subject. Although in a way it’s a bit messed up when the dragons’ make fun of Garble, even for saving the eggs, but then immediately Ember chastise them for poking fun. Still given what we’ve seen, Ember is the true lord for a reason.

Cons:

What?! But I saved the Dragons from extinction with my smooth jams!

Now I am aware this episode was significantly made to be Garble’s long awaited ‘redemption’ episode and ‘true’ by displaying his true nature the eggs hatched. But for me, it was difficult because I’ve grown used to seeing Garble pick on Spike for being soft and I’m just not a fan of bullies. Not to mention, again his ending in which he saved the eggs was abrupt leaving it vague as to whether Garble and Spike can truly be friends or if he just wanted an excuse for everyone to stop picking on him. It wasn’t an overall satisfying episode ending as it could’ve been, but the fact this was meant to be a change in allowing Garble to cast aside his bullying ways I can’t be too hard on him. He’s still not my favorite character overall, but there are worse Dragons actually…

You know what you did…

If we were to determine a set of negative characteristics based on the Dragons in general, these three fit the bill (I won’t even bother to refer them by name). It’s one thing that they give off a negative image of being teenagers, but the fact that their selfless acts nearly killed off an essential part of their race is something that does not fly off the radar. Could they have meant any harm towards their own kind? Maybe, maybe not, but still to choose to use the lava for a ‘pool’ and depriving the babies a means to hatch… For shame. You swear they’d make Hip and his friends from ‘Land Before Time III’ look more mature.

Overall, while this episode may not be a huge favorite of mine from the season, as a Kim Beyer-Johnson episode it was a HUGE improvement from ‘Non-Compete Clause’. In several ways, it’s everything that’s the ‘opposite’ of that episode: Adventure, Fluttershy being the most assertive, and believable storytelling. As much as I give flake towards the Dragons’ behavior, in a way it reflects recent issues that are transpiring not just in a school environment but what has since been considered the norm in today’s modern society. At the very least, the initial story in general doesn’t feel entirely out of place and we were anticipating this reformation to take place at some point while approaching the end of the show. Because of all the cute and comedic moments that were displayed throughout the episode, I can forgive some of the episode’s own faults and abrupt choice of an ending so in a way I still had fun.

But the BIG question remains:

What did YOU think? Be sure to leave a comment below at your earliest convenience.

Until next week MLP fanatics, this is the Dramamaster829… Signing out!

Sorry I couldn’t slide you a spot in either section of the ‘Characters’ portion princess. There really wasn’t much scenes of you to really work with.

Eh, there’s still an entire season left. I needed a break anyway.

Wait, didn't I wrote something on this episode before?

If you did, I probably missed it. Well, at least I got one comment on this review so it's not a total loss.
