    The News

Greetings friends, got a red hot news update for you all today.

Life’s been busy, I left a job I was overwhelmingly burned out in, struggled to pick up a new one, started college again, and finished/started/restarted a handful of projects all at once.

    New cover art!

Just a small update for you today! If you haven't noticed, the story now has new cover art with an illustration by the awesome Featherhors. I know this story is marked as "complete" but I do plan to write additional chapters in the near future, so feel free to follow it and maybe you'll get some surprise updates every now and again.

    The beginning of the end

The first of the final seven chapters is being published in less than a day. Expect the remaining chapters to be published daily up until the ending. If you’ve stuck around for the story so far then I really appreciate it, this has truly been a passion project.

    Looking for feedback

So the story is on a small hiatus, but two of the eight remaining chapters are done. The third is being written as we speak, and the remaining ones should be hopefully finished in the next two weeks assuming I keep up with the same writing schedule I am right now. What that means is that the story could be finished in roughly two or three weeks. So what I'm hoping for right now is some feedback

    Some News!

This week's regular update is kind of a special one. It's kind of the soft finale before the story goes on a hiatus for a little while. I don't want to keep it there too long, but what I wanted to try is writing out the rest of the story so I can release the remaining chapters as daily updates up until the full finale. As it stands right now, after completing my outline there's about eight

A Summer Update · 9:52am May 28th, 2019

Well summer's finally almost upon us, and with that come some changes.

Firstly, I recently launched a sort of new experimental project, a story that I completely changed everything up for. When I started planning Stardust's Odyssey back at the end of February, I wanted to write out something that was a complete departure from my comfort zone, meaning it would be in first person, not have a rigidly defined narrative outline, and as a small test would be updated daily. It took a lot of work to get to a point where I felt that it was worth sharing, but I'm really proud of what I've written so far. (Seriously, this is such a huge project for me and I'm so proud of how it's going so far and the reception it's received!)

I was initially running this story with daily updates for the first few days of it's release, however I'm most likely not going to continue that into the future. For now I want to shoot for at least two chapter updates a month, but I'm not going to hold myself to that as strictly as I held myself to Departures' release schedule. This might change once Departures is done, however this is kind of a passion project for me so I don't want to feel like I'm rushing something out just to meet deadlines.

Secondly, Departures is going to be put on Hiatus following chapter 14's release. This was always my plan from the beginning, and not much will change schedule wise once it returns. However this could wind up changing as I recently graduated college and am now looking for work full time, if some plans wind up working out I may have to shift releases around a little to accommodate this (and some significant life changes that might happen as a result too, but hey, those are always fun right?)

And Lastly, I recently passed 100,000 words total, this is such a huge milestone for me, and one that I'm so incredibly proud of! 6 months ago I never would have imagined that I'd be releasing chapters that broke 4,000 words, let alone making weekly updates on a story and pushing myself to do more stuff that's outside of my comfort zone. These last few months have been an amazing eye opener for me and I'm so glad that I've had the opportunity to work with and meet so many awesome writers! (Seriously, you guys are awesome and I can't thank you all enough for everything!)
