I know I said I’m on break, but I’ve actually still been doing some writing. Oops?
I’m kind of undecided on what I want to write next, so I figured I’d ask the two or three people who read my blogs which idea they like best. I’ve got an anonymous google survey for it, so that should make things easy.
Option 1: You get two stories with this one, but they’re both a bit shorter. The first one is a slice of life / romance story set in Ponyville with one of my OC’s as the main character. Most of the main characters will be OC’s since I don’t feel hugely comfortable writing in the personality of a character I didn't make yet, though RD and Gilda will be included. It will have a teen rating and will probably be around 30k words. The second story is a shorter one, probably less than 15k words. It’s a Five Nights at Freddy’s spinoff with the Main 6 as the animatronics in an arcade run by Flim and Flam. Same main character as the slice of life story, just set in an alternate universe. It would have a mature rating, and there would be plenty of blood and guts. Yum.
Option 2: An Attack on Titan one-shot spinoff. Mature rating (obviously), probably around 60k words. Kind of like my BattleTech crossover, the only real similarities between AoT and my fic will be the general setting and stuff. This one will be an alternate universe of FiM, so while there will be OC’s, a lot of canon FiM characters would be included as well. I’ve already got some ideas on how to adapt the 3D maneuvering gear to be used reasonably well on ponies, so that shouldn’t be much of an issue.
Option 3: A completely original story. There are just so many options with this, and while it would probably take a bit longer to plan out than the others, it would be really cool, and I think it would be worth the wait. If you guys like that idea, I’ll make another poll with a bunch of options to vote on.
Option 4: I could of course just jump straight into part two of my BattleTech fic. I’d rather take a break from it and I really need to catch up on BattleTech lore before I continue that, but if it’s what you guys want, I’ll try and speed up the process as much as I can.
