...My best friend is ApplejackEQM.
I don't know why we're still friends.
I don't know how we're still friends.
We are the most dysfunctional friends that perhaps ever existed.
We argue, and quibble, bitch and bite, fight and snap and snarl.
She's completely bonkers.
I'm crazy as a loon.
We put up with each other.
I believe this bears repeating.
Once, in Canterda, she literally saved my life. I was lost, wandered off from our little group of friends, in an unfamiliar town, in the middle of a snowy night below zero and she found me in the midst of all that. I had no phone. No money. No transportation. And she had no way of knowing where I was, and yet she found me. Had she not, I'd have died, surely. I am here today, because of her.
That crazy bitch.
I love that crazy bitch. And I will do so until the day that I die.
Every now and then I may require a reminder.
But she taught me "Family isn't what you are, it's what you do."
And she has a permanent place reserved in my heart.
Because she's family.
She may be rough around the edges.
Jagged and spiky, even.
But she's a good pony.
The type of pony you want by your side.

Come the future, we shall come to blows. We'll bicker and argue, punch and kick, snap and snarl. Round and round we go.
But I'd trade my life for her's.
In a heart beat.
Forever.
I promised I wouldn't make another post about Applejack.
But I think I can make an exception this once.
Because I think this bears repeating.
