[SPOILERS] Season 9 Teaser Screenshot Analyzis · 4:19am Apr 20th, 2019
I have one other Season 9 (mini) analyzis based on the 11 teaser screenshots featured on Equestria Daily. That's going to be the last one for a while, until we get more to dissect. Let's get this started:

This is a screenshot of Episode 7, "She's All Yak".
We know the plot of this episode from the synopsis already, but here we see Twilight preparing the pony dance that is going to happen by hoofing out flyers about it.
I am wondering when this dance will happen. The synopsis for this episode and what we see Twilight do on this screenshot seem to imply that we will see the dance in Episode 7. But the announced plot of the episode plus the dance itself sounds a bit much for an episode of 22 minutes. And I said previously that Episode 7 sounds more like we're only going to see preparations for the dance in it. The party I talked about there, that we see in the Season 9 Trailer, also doesn't look like such a school dance.
Because of this, I don't think that we will see the actual dance in Episode 7, but in a later episode, and that we will see gradual preparations for it over the season.
I even think that we will get an arc for this dance, similar to how we got a little arc for the Grand Galloping Gala in Season 1.

We won't have to wait long anymore until we'll get to see these moments in their full context: These are screenshots from Episode 4, "Twilight's Seven", that will air tomorrow. Unfortunately, I have no clue what is going on there.
My theory that I had about the moments seen on these screenshots (as well as a moment seen in the Season 9 Teaser), that it's a classical Pinkie Pie episode about Pinkie having gotten it into her head to travel into space and visit other planets, that she tries it via hot-air balloon as one of her typical, crazy ideas and that Twilight and the others have to stop her before she creates trouble (for herself or for anypony else), is out of the window, since this does not fit the synopsis.
My only other guess is that Twilight's friends and their siblings (or, adopted siblings) join in on the sibling rivalry between Twilight and Shining Armor, which makes it turn out that they have something they rival each other about, too. We will then see Applebloom & Applejack, Scootaloo & Rainbow Dash, Sweetie Belle & Rarity, Fluttershy & Zephyr Breeze and Pinkie & one of her sisters, likely Maud (or maybe Limestone, since a rivalry would fit her temper), compete against each other alongside Shining Armor and Twilight.
How that translates to the screenshots is something I can't explain, but I hope this will be the case. Applebloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle deserve roles in this milestone episode.

That's an easy one, after reading the synopsis of Episode 5. The first screenshot pictures Twilight just a moment before remembering that she never returned that book she is holding there. The Calm before an Epic Freakout.
The second screenshot gives us a little hint on the whereabouts of the librarian from the Canterlot Library. We see retired ponies on it, some from Ponyville, and that probably means that the librarian has already retired when Twilight seeks her/him out. Likely, it will come down to it that Twilight will think the librarian got fired because she didn't return the book and was forced into early retirement that way when he/she couldn't find a new job anymore. I also have a strong feeling that there will be some sort of surprise to all of this.
Speaking of feelings, I think there will be a good amount of feels too.

Episode 9, "Sweet and Smoky". After reading the synopsis, my theory of what happened in this moment seen on the screenshot is out of the window, too. I also had the sneaking suspicion that the brown dragon is Smolder's brother, which I can't prove anymore now since I'm only writing this after the synopsis has come out (and it fits too perfect to how Smolder is looking at him, so it's definitely the brown dragon), but turns out I was right with that. I have developed another theory about this episode, though:
The previous episode, "Frenemies", speaks about Grogar sending Cozy Glow, Tirek and Chrysalis on a mission. And only one episode later, we get an episode in which we see Spike and Smolder travelling to the Dragon Lands, where they find out that the dragon eggs are, for some reason, not hatching anymore.
What I'm thinking is, that Grogar has sent his team of villains into the Dragon Lands to destroy their eggs. He wants to secure himself absolute power and the dragons, who are now allied with Equestria, pose a threat to him. So he wants to eliminate the dragons by preventing them from reproducing. That would still leave the dragons that already live now, but if I'm right, he will have a different plan to get rid of them. And in the long run, it would mean that dragons go extinct, because no new ones can hatch anymore. So he has one potential threat for him and his terror rule eliminated then.
I think that Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy Glow succeeded with this plan and that Spike, Smolder and Fluttershy will (without knowing who is responsible, but they might get a hunch that something dangerous is going on) stumble over the horrifying results.
If I'm right, that one's going to be a very dark episode.
