Matthew 19:26 · 1:09am Apr 20th, 2019

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Matthew 19:26

What this Bible verse especially means is that as long as we worship and trust in God, we can do anything. But, that doesn’t mean we can do anything like fly without jet packs. It means that we can make huge accomplishments, such as build a bridge without giving up and continue going strong, as long as we let God be by our side to help us.

A great example of this is when David faced off against Goliath the Giant Philistine when no one else would step up to challenge him. In that very moment, David put his faith and trust in God in order to conquer Goliath and defeat his army.

Outside of the Biblical times, another great example comes from that of Walt Disney. If not for his trust and faith in the Holy Spirit, he would never succeed at accomplishing his work, and his company wouldn’t go on to be one of the movie industry’s most powerful studios.

As you can see, it just goes to show that when you believe and trust in God and God alone, follow the teachings, guidings, and laws made by Him, as well as acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God and our Savior, we can make a big difference in this world.

Umm, yeah, so Walt Disney and his legacy have been heavily contested by Christian and secular audiences alike. I just thought I should be the first to warn you about that since you've decided to post this on your blog. :twilightsheepish:

Coincidentally today, I'm going to church as it's Saturday in my country, to wash off my sins dealing off with some jerk named H2GO. I'm an Adventist so it's Sabbath Day.

God is love.

Yeah...Peter Pan was especially vilified by more Conservative Christians on grounds that they felt Tinkerbelle to be...well...too sexy to be in a children's film.
And with that complaint stemming from a 1953 audience...I can see where that came from. These days nobody has any gripes about how short her attire is.
And before that, Fantasia (1940s I think...) was considered vulgar and especially inappropriate because of the 'Demonic' themed story at the end.
Sure the end to that is all the demons and fiends going away...but that's just it. They had what was basically the 'Best Night Ever' that you'd expect demons to have and then they pretty much went to sleep because the sun was coming up; instead of because they were somehow defeated.

I honestly think that a large amount of modern praise for Walt stems from some 'need' to take an American Icon and say "He was totes one of us from the beginning"
Of course to be fair...everyone 'suddenly' loves you more when you're gone.:twilightblush:

That being said, here's what I've been able to find out about Walt Disney's relationship with Christianity:
1. He was raised Congregationalist, and named after his family's preacher.
2. He once snuck out of his house to see a movie about the life of Jesus in a church.
3. He spoke highly of his upbringing and highly valued faith.
4. He did have some level of Scriptural literacy.
5. His faith influenced his view of children, namely that they shouldn't be shielded from reality yet should be taught that good can triumph over evil.
6. Snow White had a scene with the titular character praying.
7. Bagheera apparently quoted John 15:13 in the original The Jungle Book. (I don't know that for sure because I haven't seen it.)
8. Melody Time had Johnny Appleseed walking around with a Bible.

Yep.
Basically Walt would be the only real consistent voice saying that he was a real Christian while he was alive.

Unfortunately, those conspiracy theorists ruined Disney using their stupid dark theories, including Pixar. I mean, seriously! What's the point of using dark theories on Disney since Walt Disney is a Christian, not a Satanist? Well at least the fans could debunk the theories, including this guy:

What's the point of using dark theories on Disney

It's for the same reason why people make up wild lies about people they disagree with.
If you make the other guy look morally broken; it makes you look glorified by comparison.
It's why American Politics gets so darn ugly:
"If you're not attacking, you're losing."

Truly inspiring! I agree completely!

Thank you for that verse, my friend. It was a verse I really needed today.

I learned this from Veggietales.
