And no, this was not a comment on one of my fics. Someone commented this in response to the constructive criticism his atrocious story was getting.

I think you are giving this more attention than you should. Not that you don't have any right to be upset or bothered by things like this, but, in the end, it won't change anything. You're just wasting your energy and any good mood you might have had. Ignore it and know that for any number of people like that, there's a lot of us that like what you do.
You're doing the right thing and dealing with this doofus the best way possible...

This wasn’t a comment on one of my fics. Some people were giving constructive criticism to a story (that was really bad, to be honest), and this is how this is how the person who wrote the story responded. [sigh] I just found this irony hilarious.
By right do you think he meant write and misspelled it, or was he saying they didn’t know how to be correct like him and just horribly butchered the grammar? I admit to morbid curiosity.
