New season starting today · 7:55am Apr 6th, 2019

I'm hoping it'll at least be decent. And there's something I should get off my chest.

Before today, I did have plans to write a sequel to my fic Rinse And Repeat called That's Not Much Better. I was hoping to write it before the season premiere date but just never got round to it. That, and I think my villain ranking blogs have said enough about all the villains.

But I didn't want to scrap it entirely so here's the rough outline of what would've happened:

Chancellor Neighsay goes to the Almighty Author of Life hoping for a good villain role in Season 8. The Author writes his role, leading Neighsay to ask why he's portrayed as in the wrong when his criticisms of Twilight's school were right. The Author responds that he'll be a racist so that automatically means he's wrong.

Before Neighsay can object, the Author suddenly decides he wants a twist villain, not asking himself whether this is needed or even a good idea. Realising there aren't any other ponies auditioning, he calls Cozy Glow (his secretary) into the office. Once she enters, he writes in his book "Cozy Glow suddenly transformed into a filly" which she does. And he basically tells her "congratulations, you're the main villain of the season", detailing her evil plan. When she asks why she's a child if she's going to get thrown in Tartarus for her crimes and mentions how screwed up it is that adult villains who've committed crimes just as bad get off scot-free, he responds with basically "because child villains are cool, get off my back".

Then Chrysalis comes barging in, furious that she's getting side-lined and demands a role as the season villain. Rolling his eyes, the Author writes the plot of the Mean Six prompting her to ask "And?". He says "and that's it, that's your role for the season". Chrysalis is dumbfounded that her role ultimately accomplishes nothing and doesn't build up to anything.

Cozy Glow is also confused as to why she's even in the story when her role could've easily gone to Chrysalis. The Author refuses to give a direct answer and instead tells them to leave and practice their roles. Once Neighsay, Cozy Glow and Chrysalis are gone, the Author takes off his hood revealing...

"Wow, Adagio, you were right! This Author thing is a lot of fun!"

"Yes, yes, you've had your fun, Sonata. Now get out of my chair. And enough with the voice changer!"

"Aww, but it makes me sound so cool! Twilight Sparkle, I am your father! (breathing sounds)"

"Give me that!"

And that's it. Like I said, I've already talked about Chrysalis, Neighsay and Cozy Glow enough in my blogs so that rendered this story idea kinda redundant. Still, didn't want it to fall under the radar so I thought I may as well share it with my followers. Until then, look out for more stories from me in future.

And here's to the final season!
