    Got my hard drive fixed

And all my data's been restored. It even costed less than I was originally quoted. Still pricey but I got my data back, and backed up on 3 different USB drives.

    Proof I'm not dead

So I'm aware I've been dead quiet lately, and I felt the need to touch base. So here's a peek at the next song in the upcoming chapter without any context. My way of giving you something. Its no where near finished, but progress is being made.

    Harddive died

Last year when I had my little vacation I noticed my laptop having signs of its approaching death, so I ordered a cheap external hard drive. It was a panic purchase, I am very uneducated on computers aside from their general use, and copied all my data. I since used it as the main storage space to keep microsoft's prying eyes out of my affairs (its the spirit of the thing rather than having

    Yup Shingles

noticed it yesterday night. My eyeliid aching and red, and I got the start of a rash around my left down to my checkbone. I ran out today for a refill on my huge-ass anti viral pills.

I mean, I got these before I started having any holes in my vision, but I hate that I'm back to stinging, burning eye pain.

when a weak person gets fit for the first time... · 3:02am Mar 30th, 2019

I've never been the guy who works out. From highschool I went from the fat kid to the thin weak guy but never have I actually stuck to a workout routine until three months ago when I chose to start a daily workout regimen. Things went smoothly and I slowly began to increase it and I've gotten bigger arms than I've ever had (even though my arms have always looked like toothpicks so that's like saying counting to 5 is an amazing accomplishment).

With spring rolling around I had a few chores to do outside, which included copious amounts of heavy lifting. When it was over I felt accomplished since I had done it and didn't even feel tired or exhausted at all. That evening I did my nightly workout ... and it felt like my shoulder split in half.

Having never been strong or fit I guess I've never worked so hard that I could hurt myself. I've torn my left rotary cuff just enough that I feel a little pain it, but my right shoulder's so bad I can only move it very slowly without pain. I can lift it, but I can feel it pop and crack a little when I use my laptop.

I'm not saying this to whine or complain, if anything I'm more surprised than suffering. And there's no need to worry, I'm not in need of surgery or therapy, its only a mild case. I've never been hurt like this before. Maybe this is me discovering new limits or the result of hubris, I dunno. Hope this reminds people to not over estimate themselves if decide to get fit.

Hey congratz with all the hardwork man!

I've also started to work out again after 7 years of abandoning my daily work out program. I've always been a skinny guy since birth, a little bit underweight to be honest. So in highschool i started to do sports, volleyball to be more specific and started to work out after a year with volley. I became really fit and started to eat allot to build muscles. But after winning 2 national title i began to lose my drive to become better, so after college i stopped practising volleyball and stopped working out. Even though i quit all form of working out i still had my eating habit ftom my days as a fit guy so i became chubby over the span of 7 years.

Honestly it was quite funny realising the first time i actually became chubby. My friends and family was always aware of that but me? Not so much. So it was hella hard to do any weightlifting and even harder to jump off the ground to smash a ball. Been 1 month since i started to lift weights and i am suprised i have actually gone down a few kg in weight. I feel so much better now being active again after 7 years of lazyness.

shocking how your self image can get in the way of reality, huh? Good to hear you're taking care of yourself. Hope you keep it up so you go back to looking like you did in highschool. I was never like that, I've always looked like a sun-bleached potato with toothpick arms and legs.

I've been told to lay off my exercise routine until I can raise my arm without pain and it feels wrong not to be more active. =/

You can still have a small workout as long as you avoid any shoulder/arm routine, when we (my team) would get injured (our knee) for example we would still train our other body parts just to keep the momentum going. If you take to long of a break with no excercise then it is very tiring to start out again, so i suggest you have a light workout. Im fat now but i still have my knowledge from back in the days xD

That's true, its just most of my workout was focused on my upper body and my core. i'll figure it out tonight =3

Good luck figuring it out man! And stay safe.

Hey, how is your shoulder faring? Any improvement? :applejackunsure:

thanks for asking. I can't do my full workout without pain but I can lift my arm again. As long as I don't over exert myself I should be back to normal. My right shoulder still feels a little off but I can't complain.

I'm trying to maintain a balance between keeping active but not over doing it. That said, I had to break my habit of working out every day and that's a little tricky to get back into.

Good news is I've keep up with writing. I may write at a snail's pace but its getting there. I'm adding a scene to the current chapter to help round things out. Felt like too much was happening at once.

It is great to see some improvement, no matter how small.
If you feel like you need to keep exercising it, you could go for some lying-down external rotations or some prone arm abductions (low weight, 2 to 3 sets of 10 reps each). And tons of ice in case it gets swollen. Take it as you're doing rehab instead of mass gaining exercise and try to not overwork it. Just little steps, one after the other.

Take care!
