My Little Pony Season 9 News 03/20/2019 · 11:51am Mar 20th, 2019

GOOD MORNING, FIMFICTION FANATICS!!! This is the Dramamaster829; Critic, Actor, Writer, Motivational Speaker, and Occasional Singer, keeping you up to date with the latest news for the final season of MLP! Now under normal circumstances, we'd have at least a week before any fresh material for the upcoming final season comes out (At least how I initially planned to do so). But today, I've just discovered we have not 'one' but 'two' enticing bits of news in regards to upcoming episodes planned out for the new season. Once again, I would like to remind everyone that because we are only looking at brief synopsis segments and since we really don't know the full story, the subjects in question are made for the sole purpose of speculating as we get set for what is sure to be the most important season for the show.

So without further ado let's get underway:

Now if the image up above wasn't enough proof, one of the biggest episode subjects that have been discussed for over a month is the 200th episode which as revealed pays tribute to the lead actors who made the show possible (Hopefully everyone else). The initial topic of our 200th episode, set to air early this season, focuses mainly on the sibling rivalry between Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor. But as if that wasn't enough, turns out they aren't the only ones competing leading to the possibility we may be seeing more sibling rivalries set to take place. And for those who have seen the show long enough, there are tons of sibling shenanigans we can see happen involving our Mane Six:

Applejack and Apple Bloom or Bic MacIntosh (Maybe both)
Rarity and Sweetie Belle (We've seen this happen before)
Fluttershy and Zephyr Breeze (Because we want to see that Kuzco-wannabe again)
Pinkie Pie and 'any' of her Pie Sisters (Maybe we'll see Marble speak this time)
Rainbow Dash and... Well, we 'technically' don't know if she has a biological relative besides her parents... I guess Scootaloo? Most likely.

Now going back on this matter with Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor, ever since he first made his appearance during his wedding with Princess Cadence (While combating Chrysalis and the Changelings) we get bits and pieces of his personality. We know he loves his sister like a best friend, yet he's committed to his duty both as captain of the guards, a loving husband, and a devoted father to Flurry Heart (A lot happens so fast for some pony we barely know). But then we've also seen them butt heads a couple times like that recent short where he inadvertently caused Twilight to have a phobia over... Ladybugs (I'm not making this up, this was a thing). And apparently since this little rivalry has gone on for some time, in one of those annual competition kind of things (Which I'm suspecting as much), it might not be a matter that's entirely serious or threatens a friendship but it's sort of what they do to bond and have fun. And given how the previous 100th episode gave tons of background characters a chance to shine, with many memorable moments, we hope the 200th spectacular can take it up a notch with more material than even the most hardcore of fans can prepare for.

But as mentioned before, this isn't just a segment going over 'one' episode, as we go over the next recently announced episode:

As I looked back on this one image from an announcement involving 13 screenshots (Turns out I can only find 11), suddenly the synopsis for this upcoming episode makes perfect sense. The premise seems simple enough: When Twilight realizes she never returned a book to the Canterlot library and fears her favorite librarian lost her job because of this one thing, she tries everything possible to atone for her mistake. Now at this point, some of you may be thinking, 'Oh great, it's that Moondancer episode all over again' and offhand it looks that way. Course, we don't know if her favorite librarian lost her job because of that or if it's simply the matter she chose to retire because she was just feeling the effects of her age. But if we know Twilight, when she sets her sights on atoning for previous mistakes and wants to make it up with ponies she can call her friends, it's not surprise we expect her to be 'Twilighting'. Since we really don't know what this librarian is like, if she holds a grudge against Twilight for what happened or if it was just a book and not that big a deal, some fans may not be looking forward to this episode but maybe, JUST maybe a segment that's made for laughs could potentially have some heartfelt moments.

Overall, we got two episode announcements to be included with the season as the news continues to grow from here on out. We've got one episode that aims to be the biggest the show has ever put together and another episode some fans speculate to be mainly filler and only just for laughs. Still, even given the fact that this is the final season, we may not always get the best episodes in the line-up but even the 'bad' ones offer a glimmer of potential that they have something memorable in their own way. And since we really don't know what to expect to happen during the season, all we can do is keep our fingers crossed and hope the team know just what they are doing. Who knows? We might find, especially with this librarian episode, it might remind us about stories just like that or if we ever felt that our favorite teacher is no longer working... Perhaps something we did. What I'm saying is that it might 'touch' people in some way and we never stopped to think about it before.

But the big question remains: What do YOU think?

Until then, this is the Dramamaster829... SIGNING OUT!

Honestly. I don't really care. I'll simply ride this season rollercoaster and enjoy it to the end.
