I am wholly unfamiliar with your world's arbitrary laws or petty idolizing of fallen 'heroes'. But, over the years, I have picked up on a few meaningful lessons... Ones that have kept me going through all of his humiliation. I could bore you with my attempts to wax poetic; perhaps quote a delightfully ironic idiom by some prolific mind. However, that won't be needed. There's only one saying from this world that truly conveys every feeling I have for you...
Revenge is a dish best served cold.
You ruined my life... All of you... Bust most especially you, Sunset Shimmer. My magic... My pride... Our passage home... You and your princess took all of that from me. That's why it seems only fair that I take everything from you--all of you. I will strip everything from you by degrees until you know the loss I've suffered. Biding my time for this day has been the most agonizing experience I have ever endured… All so this knife stings all the worse.
I will send your entire existence spiraling... And when you're holding the wreckage of your former life, I will raise your head and let you know that this... This was mercy. That the pain you have faced was but a fraction of what you inflicted on me. Then... You will have my permission to fall into that despair. Just you wait...

I feel it's fairly self evident. I couldn't imagine it being hard to discern the intent despite the sloppy nature of it. At several points it expresses the subject matter, including in the title itself. If you're having trouble sussing it out, I'm sorry. I'll work on making more comprehensive descriptions.
