What do ya mean it's not Monday? (Also, it is a damn shame that this didn't make it into either of the FLCL sequels. Pied Piper is a fantastic album, as many of the Pillows albums are.)
Okay so, it is definitely not Monday anymore. However, Canterlot Bambi is in fact out now, so if you were following Star Overhead, you can go read that. were this super, that would've been spit into two chapters and posted separately, but because it isn't and there is a reason I need this to be exactly seven chapters, I just posted late. I really did try here, but I think I got hit by a solid right cross right in the depression. I think I may be bipolar or something, there was really no good reason for this to happen and I'm still kinda suffering though it. 
I'm also stubborn as hell, and I refuse to let that stop me from getting this out on time! April 29th is the day Star Overhead will be set as complete, and I am going to make damn sure it happens like that. So, you probably still have no idea as to what the overall plot to SO is yet, but this chapter should've given you an idea as to what is actually going on. A little bit of clarity, if you will. If it looks like a throwaway line, it's probably integral to the story. That's kinda how I've been trying to run this ship anyways. And yes, I do think I'm clever.
Real question here should be, why does this chapter exist? Not only is the focus not on our main character, it doesn't even take place entirely in the little town of Underhoof. What gives? If you go back and look at this once it's over, it'll all make sense. In a similar way to the origin story arc in Super, this chapter will parallel the the greater whole since all the major themes are here. I always find that I get sucked in when I write a chapter for another character in my stories, and this was no different. I didn't expect this one to hit nearly 15000 words though. When I finished the outline, I was almost concerned that it was going to be a short chapter because the beginning and the set up is so stark. Shows what I know. Only had a couple changes in the three days I spent writing it to the overall outline which changed what Celestia is a little bit. she also has a few more speaking lines in the chapter than I initially planned so I hope I haven't given the game away by doing that. Of course, I have a habit of overthinking, so who knows if anybody is actually going to get it in the end. Oh well. We'll see.
From the looks of it, this will end up around 70000 words if I continue on my current trek, but I still have a few chapters in which I don't know what I'm doing yet. We'll see what happens. the next chapter should introduce our last character for the story, but I haven't pinned everything down yet. Provided the idea still holds, it should be called "Funny Bunny"
Anyways, Super is also still in the works, I just haven't finished that yet. I have things I want to do, but I have more freedom to do whatever I want in SO, so its easier to write. I love the story, but sometimes I get so bogged down in my own bullshit that I have trouble actually sitting down and writing. In the future, none of my stories will ever be as long as Super is. Oh well. Four more big events and it'll be done. I'm hoping I can finish it by the 3rd anniversary of the story, but we'll see. I haven't kept up with that schedule so far, especially now that I've stared another story and have a third completely outlined and ready to be written in the event I need a distraction from Super.
That's all from me for now. you should get a super chapter... on Monday, or second Monday, or third Monday. Definitely by fourth Monday since I like to use that as my other time to post things. I definitely tried to have this ready yesterday and just didn't get finished, so... yeah.
