Writing a new MLP "Video Game" · 1:43am Nov 7th, 2012
One thing I like to do with stories is write Video Games. I have an idea for something really random that could be epic and fun, but I need you all to choose your player character. Here's a background of my idea.
Running name is Legend of Celestia: Elements of Harmony. Yes it's a Legend of Zelda like story. The story will be told from the second person, putting the reader into the story as the pony I choose. The story would be told using a "silent protagonist", allowing the reader to imagine the personality as they read it. As for possible player characters:
Trixie Lulamoon: She's the closest pony to Twilight Sparkle, and the original idea had her as the main character.
Applebloom: She IS the main hero of the Inner Demons series (I haven't forgotten it. Don't worry.) and as an Earth Pony, she could gain a whole slew of powers. I think she has the makings of a true hero.
OC: I REALLY don't want to make an OC the main character. I sort of want to put the reader in the hooves of a pony we actually see and know. I have another story like this on fanfiction (if you guys want, I can post it here as well) that uses an OC that will also appear in the Inner Demons series, but in another role. I'll only make an OC if you REALLY want an OC or think this can only work with an OC, but I urge you to give it a shot with one of the actual characters.
As you can see, none of the Mane 6 are options for player characters. I feel that these kind of stories are good to show that anypony can be a hero, so although the Elements of Harmony are in the story, they aren't playable characters. Also, Princess Celestia is a major plot point in the story as well. So, who is the player pony? Trixie Lulamoon, Applebloom, or (last resort) random OC?

While I would like to say Applebloom since you did a story with her; that is the reason why I am saying Trixie. You have already done a story with Applebloom as a very important main character.
And it's totally not Trixie being best pony that I say to choose her.
Trixie or Applebloom? Hmm... I demand for the great and powerful Trixie to be the player pony!

Since i love magic in most world of imagination and the like I have to go Trixi HOWEVER applebloom character does indeed sound interesting.
As a side note that has no baring on any story whatever ever just throwing out their OC chracters are okay if done well and are nto mary sue.

Sweetie Belle... cuz Sweetie rules... although Trixie is an obvious second
if the story was AB as an adult (or teen like in inner demons) then Applebloom no contest, otherwise trixie, is a fairly close second.
