I had a thought last night with the announcement that the next major EQG special, "Spring Breakdown," is due to air March 30th.
In a previous blog, I talked about how the Spring Break setting of this special might mean The EQG timeline I've worked out would be utterly wrecked.1 But a last night I realized a way it could still work.
What if, once again, we aren't seeing things chronologically in this series? What if "Spring Breakdown" happens the Spring Break BEFORE Forgotten Friendship and the following summer? Naturally, this would depend on whether or not the special makes any references to anything that came before. But if it doesn't, well, nothing would prevent us from placing it in that section of the timeline, would it?
Just a thought.
1 It may already be wrecked anyway, since I've written "Consequences" to take place at the same time as the MLP Movie, and the Storm King's magic is apparently involved in Spring Breakdown." Again, like the timeline placement, it'll depend on what happens in the special itself.
No way to tell, but I'll say I'm looking forward to it. The specials tend to be better than the shorts, at any rate.
