Hello Everyone, Now that we are fully underway and out at sea I'm back to tell you more about the Guards of the Harmony Empire and what they are. Today I'm going to explain the third of the The Four Pillars, The Knights of Dawn.
Knights of Dawn are selected from the Dusk Guard, any Dusk Guardsmen with a rank if Commander is eligible to join the Knights however just because they are eligible doesn't mean that they will join. Knights of Dawn are among the best that the guard has to offer and act as an elite force that serves the Empire as a whole. When a Dusk Guard is selected they are sent to a special training facility in an unknown location and trained under extreme conditions, if they pass then they are Knighted by the Empress personally however if they fail the are returned to the Dusk Guard. Knights of Dawn are trained to combat Alicorns and other Immortal beings of great power.
When a Knight is knighted they are given a set of armor forged from Adamantite and Mythril and fashioned to the wearers specific measurements. The armor is much lighter than the armor of the Dusk Guard, it's less bulky and more streamline and segmented. This allows for for faster and greater movement. The armor also has several enchantments that boost a wears strength, speed and agility. The helmet allows the user to have total night vision and a re-breather that filters out toxins and allows for underwater missions. The weapons of the Knights of Dawn are specifically crafted for the user and forged from Adamantite.
Knights of Dawn hold a title and rank of nobility within the Empire however the title Is considered a rewarded as an act of service. Unlike in other places where it is passed down to a decedent a title of Nobility must be earned, in addition if one is found abusing their authority they are immediately striped of there title, rank and exiled from the Knights. This has only happened a few times and when it happens it is extremely rare. Because the Nobility must earn their right to a title they are not corrupt and kind to their citizens. Since they don't act snobby and serve as protectors with honor they are well respected by the common people and often looked upon as well respected and beloved men and women, many of the commoners and non noble classes often come to the Knight for advice, guidance or with their problems.
The Current leader of the Knight of Dawn is Knight Commander Lunar Celesteal. Lunar Celesteal is a Pegasus Mare who has served for years as the Knight Commander. She is a Kind and Loyal member who serves her people with dedication and pride.
project clockwork do you have any idea when you can get act two started? if you could give me even a general month i would by happy.
Not sure, I din't plan to be away from it for this long but I got caught up in my other projects. I might start on it again though, I enjoyed writing it a lot.
