I got up at seven this morning and went to work at nine. No sooner than I had clocked in and started stocking, I got the call from my aunt. My mother, who has been fighting cancer for the last half year, has lost the battle.
My mother has passed away in her sleep.
I hope everyone understands when I say I will be absent for a time while arrangements are made and everyone grieves. Sorry for the further delays.

I'm sorry to hear about what happened to your mom. That IS rough. I know. MY mom has been dead for more than 25 years and it STILL hurts to think about it. Admittedly, it was an auto accident and not cancer, but the point remains that it's still pretty painful.
Anyway, I will more than respect your need to take a break and grieve properly.
Oh man, I am so sorry for your loss... I hope at least your mother is resting peacefully now. Take your time coming back, we understand that it will take a while to properly grieve. I wish you the best of luck for you and your family.

In related News, my last surviving Great Uncle Died too back last Friday... the cause was a syupid one: He was removinf some stumps and tripped on a root and fell in a well...
