The Student Six Elements

I was reading the Friendship is Magic TV Tropes character page recently, and when I was reading the entries for the student six, it mentioned something from the season seven finale that I completely missed. When the student six used the Tree of Harmony's power to defeat Cozy Glow, they were each wrapped in a coloured aura, representing the Elements of Harmony; however, I have to say that except for Silverstream being Laughter - which is kind of obvious - I really don't agree with the Element associated with each student. The actual matches were:

Sandbar - Kindness
Gallus - Magic
Yona - Honesty
Smolder - Loyalty
Ocellus - Generosity
Silverstream - Laughter

Personally, I think this match-up makes more sense:

Sandbar - Magic
Gallus - Loyalty
Yona - Generosity
Smolder - Honesty
Ocellus - Kindness
Silverstream - Laughter

Personally i think Gallus should be Generosity... Griffons are typicaly greedy bastards, but he's one of the first to share.

I don't know. If friendship really is magic, that would mean the element of magic is actually the element of friendship. Which might make Gallus a fitting recipient of it, as it would mean he's broken long-held beliefs regarding griffons being greedy and caring only for themselves as individuals to the point of seeing other griffons as competition to be wary of.

Ocellus being generosity also make sense, with her being a changedling, meaning she had to give to others to evolve from her previous corrupted state.

Smolder being loyalty, I can see that, what with her spilling the beans about the tea party simply to comfort Ocellus and assure her that she's not Chrysalis.

Sandbar learned about kindness in his dealings with Ocellus, and let's face it, yaks don't appear to be the dishonest type, so she was likely a shoe-in for the element of honesty simply by being there.
