The MLP Movie I'd like to see

Announcer's deep and slightly smarmy voice: When every pony in Equestria faces their most terrible disaster yet, Starlight and Trixie are called on to help as only they can.

Twi: ...and keep everypony safe while we're gone!

Glim: But, Twilight! I want to help you with-

Twi: (pushes back from Glim) You are helping! With you and Trixie keeping an eye on things, we can focus on fixing this! (she glares at Trixie) And please, stay out of trouble!

Trix nudges her shoulder and grins: The Great and Selfless Trixie has an Idea!

Glim pushes her grinning face away with a hoof: Tixie! No, you heard Twilight. Now, come on. Let's get to work.

Cut to interior shot of Twilight's office at school. A large ball of glowing energy surges in the middle of the room sending papers swirling. Tix and Glim's horns glow like stars, feeding magic into the ball.

Glim shouts: This is crazy!

Trix laughs like a lunatic and shoves Glim into the ball before tumbling in herself.

Glim takes her hooves off of her eyes and looks around: Where in Equestria are we?

Tix gets up off of her and looks around, squinting at the bright glare: Trixie does not recognize this place? Is it the Badlands? And what is this black road?

Camera pulls back to a long shot of an American mid-west desert. Glim and Trix stand in the distance near an abandoned gas station with a road running past it. A tumbleweed blows past in the foreground as echoing harmonica music plays.

Cut to Glim and Trix hoofing it alongside the road, sweating and drooping under the hot sun.

Glim: This is a nightmare! Where are we even going?

Trix points a shaky hoof: That way!

Glim grimaces and asks: Why?

Trix shuffles past her: Because the Wise and Perceptive Trixie flipped her lucky bit and it said this was the way to go.

Glim groans and follows her.

Overhead shot of a top-less white Cadillac speeding along the road with a man who has long red hair at the wheel.

Shot of it whipping past Tix and Glim and pulling over in a cloud of dust. Tix and Glim halt and wave their hooves in front of their faces while coughing.

Man moves to passenger-side door and shoves it open.

Man: Oh my stars and moons! I found you!

Glim and Trix lean around edge of door to stare up at man.

Glim: Who... What are you?

Man leans back and pushes mirror sunglasses up on his forehead and strokes his long red chin beard: Don't you recognize me?

Glim gasps: Sunburst?

Sun waves for them to get in and leans over the seat to shake Twi awake: Twilight! Hey, I found them!

Twi, played by a human actor, sits up in the back seat and groggily rubs her eyes: Whah? Huh? (she glares) You twooo! What were you thinking?

Glim nervously taps her hooves together while Trix hides behind her: Well...

Twi snorts and shakes her head: Never mind. Let's just get out of here.

Cut to interior of abandoned warehouse. A glowing mirror leans up against a wall. Twi, followed by Trix and Glim and Sun enter. Twi steps through mirror and Trix follows.

Cut to interior of Twi's office. Twi stands in office staring at the mirror where a human actor is halfway through the mirror, down on all fours.

Trix: (screams)

Twi: (screams)

Cut to interior of warehouse. Trix flopped back into Glim's hooves, repeatedly kisses her own hoof and rubs it on her horn.

Trix, sobbing: Oh, my precious! My Great and Magnificent horn!

Glim: What happened?

Twi comes back through the mirror as a human.

Cut to human Twi lecturing Glim and Trix: We'll research a solution on the Equestria-side since only you two can cast magic over here. But you have to stay inconspicuous!

Trix: In-con-wha?

Twi grimaces: Stay hidden and stay out of trouble! For once in your life, Trixie!

Glim salutes: We can do that.

Twi sighs: I hope so! Come on Sunburst, we have work to do.

The go through the mirror. After a moment, Trix looks up at Glim and smiles. Glim groans.

Cut to shot of Disneyworld, crowds everywhere, pan through crowd to reveal Glim and Tix surrounded by awestruck children and parents. Funky humorous jazz plays.

Trix bounces excitedly: Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! This fabulous place speaks to the Spectacular and Entertaining Trixie on levels she knew not she had!

Glim covers her face with a hoof and groans.

Man asks: Are you from Boston Dynamics or something? (takes photo)

Glim: Yes, yes we are.

Kid: Cooooool!

Cut to Cape Canaveral. Glim and Trix in FG look towards a SpaceX Falcon in the distance, leaking gas as it prepares to launch.

Trix speaks in awe: That is the biggest firework Trixie has ever seen!

Glim moans: No, Trixie! No!

Cut to sky shot, looking down as Falcon shoots up towards camera. Camera dives through window to reveal two astronauts in space suits, screaming. Trix and Glim are also crammed into the module. Glim screams in terror, Trix in elation.

Smug announcer: Coming this fall to a theatre near you!

Anyway...

Over my holiday break I was suddenly inspired to work on yet another pony story that I'd been vaguely thinking about. It ate up my every waking moment, gave me insomnia, and left me feeling so burnt-out I needed another vacation when it was time to head back to the office.

So, I've not touched any of my other stories since that started.

Sorry about that, I'll pick them up again once this story has finished having its way with me. I've asked a few friends to pre-read it before I get too deep into editing... though of course I haven't been able to step away from it like I planned and the edits are already underway. Hopefully, I'll be able to start posting it soon-ish and get back to work on Catch Me or DwY or Honest Man or You Are Here or one of the other stories trying to get out.

At least I have lots to keep me busy.
