Hi. I still exist. I still intend to continue writing these silly pone fics. I'm just not sure when that's going to happen.

    A word of advice.

If you're annoyed that an author/artist/composer/etc. seems to have abandoned a story/comic/album that you enjoy, just send them a note asking if they're planning to return to it soon.

Moaning comments and passive-aggressive tantrums are unkind and counter productive.

    Pathetic whining

My employers have asked me, and everyone else in the marketing department, to work from home for the next three weeks.

On one hand: YAY! No wasting two hours of my life every day commuting.

On the other: Boo! This will make writing ponefic even more difficult.

...still not writing. :raritydespair:

Hi. I still exist. I still intend to continue writing these silly pone fics. I'm just not sure when that's going to happen.

Like many people I've been forced to work from home during the pandemic and after spending 40+ hours a week glued to this f*cking desk I have zero desire to sit my rump down and spend even more hours writing. I should go mark my stories as on "hiatus" I guess, but that that feels like admitting defeat and stuffing them into The Trunk of Forgetting.

While my company is moving to a voluntary return to office policy, I will be at this f*cking desk for the foreseeable future: the commute is brutal and I've taken on a second job - caring for my mother. Her mind is disappearing as Alzheimer's progresses and she's becoming more and more disabled, so it's either I stay home to take care of her or she'll have to move to a nursing home. We'd all like to avoid that for as long as possible.

C'est la vie.

I guess that's about it for this update. Take care.

I hope life gets better it's happening more and more, the 'desktop sickness'. And it's the right thing to do for your mom, given the circumstances.
