A word of advice. · 1:15pm Jul 3rd, 2020
If you're annoyed that an author/artist/composer/etc. seems to have abandoned a story/comic/album that you enjoy, just send them a note asking if they're planning to return to it soon.
Moaning comments and passive-aggressive tantrums are unkind and counter productive.
Another piece of advice: when your employer asks you to take one day off per week in order to use up vacation time that you won't be allowed to carry over into the next year - don't take Wednesdays off.
It seemed like a good idea to me but it really isn't! Monday I have to do maintenance on our contact lists. Tuesday is 'automation' set up day. Friday is for analytic reports. Seemed like taking Wed vacations would have the least impact on my work and having 'hump day' off would be a nice break mid-week. Nope! I'm having to cram 5 days of work into 4 and that turns every day into a mad-ass scramble!
Don't make my mistake. Full week vacations are the best and three day weekends would be acceptable.
Other than that and Epic Cabin Fever, things are going alright here. No one in my family has caught Covid-19... yet. The lock down and my fellow cautious and conscientious citizens have kept things to a low simmer in my neck of the woods. Things are starting to re-open, cautiously. Time to see if that 'second wave' is going to be a big problem. Yay.
Hope you're all keeping well! Take care of yourself and one another.
