New chapter today, but something different... · 4:59pm Jan 5th, 2019
As the title says, Chapter 25 is coming out today. HOWEVER, I'm trying something different. I mentioned a couple of blog posts ago that I wanted to mix up my up date schedule and chapter length. Well, what better time to try that than with the first chapter of a new year?
The chapters for this month, and likely the following months if I like the feel of it, are going to be around 2-3k words long. That said, I'm looking to post weekly -bi-weekly if something horrid happens and I'm unable to write or edit.
There's a couple of reasons to this, but the biggest two are thus:
*1st. Ease of editing
As I'm my only editor, it's easier for to take the story chunks at a time. I'm hoping that this will help me to focus on fleshing out the narrative's flow without feeling bogged down by the chapter as a whole. Basically, I'm hoping to give you smaller, finely tuned chunks, without burning myself out with editing.
*2nd. Motivation/ Presence
I know it seems strange to think that this two might go hand and hand. But the simple fact as that I've trying hard to motivate myself to post more online in general. To get my writing out there, and in turn to motivate myself to keep writing and learning. The hope is that having short, weekly objectives will help with this.
I know there's some downsides to having this kind of schedule, but I guess that's why this is an experiment. Anyways, that's all I'll say on the matter for now. Hope everyone likes the chapters to come.
