Hey, folks. Apologies for not getting a new Nightmare Night chapter posted as I said I would over the winter holidays, but I've found I was simply burned out on it and needed to step away from it for a while. Sex scenes, while enjoyable, can also be surprisingly stressful to write.

In its place, I've had a two-week holiday where I've taken care of some major chores around the house, including some longstanding ones, like (shudder) cleaning up and cleaning out my second bedroom I was using basically for overflow storage and had gotten buried in junk. That wasn't fun, but I've done it, or nearly so at this point, and now need to sell the furniture within it in preparation for renovating it. That'll be my big (non-writing) project this year; painting, putting in new trim and hardwoods and turning it into a lounge/art studio/workout area instead of clutter container.

As for writing... Flight of Firefly and Nightmare Night along with the TLaTU revamp take center stage this year, along with more work on my still-languishing anthro novel, which I may again try to focus on for a couple months. The first day of war will be completed in Firefly within a month or two (only took about eighteen months!) at which point you can expect time jumps to the next series of battles and some guest-written side stories. Both AJ_Aficionado and Denim_Blue have volunteered to write some, I'm happy to say. I believe Leo Archon is also planning to write something two chapters out.

Nightmare Night will proceed as quickly as my, well, erotic batteries will allow. Those need recharging every once in a while, and oddly enough, I find that writing Firefly battle scenes engages the same areas of my mind as writing sex scenes and can be just as draining for it. Kind of weird, that, but that's how it works with me. In any event, We're nearing the end of the 'conversion' phase of the story in Nightmare Night, completing the corruption of the Mane 6 + Spike and setting up all the pieces for the confrontations and climactic battles (erotic and otherwise!) to come. Expect more to be revealed of how the curse works, why Twilight isn't fighting it, and a call for help to go out across the portal. Please note once again that both Sunset Shimmer and Sci-Twi are tagged in this story for good reason, and that there will be no real let-up in the adult action until the very end!

So that's where things stand. The new Nightmare Night chapter is currently 4500 words long and I've finally got some momentum on it, so there's a chance it'll go out in the next week. Updates and a possible teaser will follow as it gets closer to completion.
