Microsoft Garage's "Mouse Without Borders" is amazing.
So, you know how I have my main PC and my Surface Go?
Normally, I have both set up on my desk, and have to switch between using the mouse and keyboard on my main PC and the keyboard cover of my Surface.
This app I happened to stumble across makes it so I can use both devices with the same mouse and keyboard as long as they're online. It's literally what Synergy is, but for Windows only at the moment. Plus, it's free.
I now have my Surface positioned just under my main PC's screen, and can move the mouse (and files) between the two in a vertically-wrapped keyboard/mouse mapping.
For an experimental program released under Microsoft's "Garage" branding for in-development programs, I'm quite impressed at how well it already works. There's almost no lag whatsoever, either.
Hey I notice you put these out a lot and it really shows your knowledge on PC's so I was wondering if I could ask you for advice when I need help dealing with my PC.

Sure, ask away.

Well really I have it all working now but I will need help in the future most likely.

Alrighty then.
it is an impressive App, would be nice t5o be able to link my old winxp so I can control its m,ain functions (vhs recording and data recovery)

Yeah. Unfortunately, it only works with Vista and above, if I remember correctly.

According to what I read it works with XP sp3

Oh. Just spotted it in the description on the website.

Yes, it would be useful, so thank you for making me aware of it...

Yup.
I agree
Thanks for sharing this! I'm currently using Synergy (begrudgingly) as I am sharing my keyboard and mouse between my two desktop PCs (Windows 8.1, Windows 10) and my Macbook. The file drag and drop between systems looks way cool, too bad it's Windows only or I would switch in a heartbeat.

Yeah. That's the only drawback to the program.
