Be careful with updating it, though. The archive always collects all the fics on the site, but a new update also does not contain fics that have been deleted since the last update. So if you simply replace the .zip file you already have, you could lose some stories if the authors have removed them.

While I do believe the Archive grabs the latest version of a story, so if an author deletes it by 'updating' the story to be blank space or some such you could lose it, actually deleted stories should still be in the zip. At least as far as I've noticed from my use.

Really? I remember it from the archive's creator himself, who told me once that stories that were deleted are not contained in a new update anymore, when I asked him about it. I need to check the old comments.
