Happy Thanksgiving, turkeys. I'm not here for any sappy nonsense about what I'm thankful for or what you're thankful for. This is a realm of ponies, and I am here to pony. So if you're gonna be thankful for anything this midnight-after-Thanksgiving on a small horse fantasy enthusiast website, then be thankful that I just finished the draft for Chapter 22.
It's clucking in at a toasty 8,888 words, and by Luna if somebody points out something that needs to be fixed and forces me to mess up that beautiful word count then I'm gonna unleash Chapter 23 Twilight on their asses.
Speaking of Chapter 23, Chapter 22 was actually supposed to be the last chapter of the first act. I was gonna write a brief epilogue to release alongside it and then slap an appetizing Complete tag on the fic and get started on writing act two in the sequel. But alas, events did not transpire precisely as I foresaw them, and so there will be one more chapter and probably no epilogue. This is probably for the better, from a pacing perspective. We'll see.
Anyways, the draft is off to the pre-reader farm, and boy is it a doozy. Pinkie says so herself, it's a doozy. I'm really looking forwards to seeing all your reactions once I'm able to push it out. Or you can make me extra thankful by joining the EH Discord, reading the draft yourself, and telling me what you think right there. Call it an early Thanksgiving present.
Have you guys ever heard of Space Station 13? Boy is it a wild game. Honestly, there is just no way for me to sum it up here properly. I mean, yes there is, but I'm tired. So watch this video instead.
