I'm surprised, and a little humbled, about the newest story being liked as much as it has been. In truth I didn't really expect it to be liked much at all. I was more along the line of thinking that it was going to be one of those twenty likes to fifty or so dislikes, but apparently it seems that there's a good number of folks that really enjoy it. I've had a couple of friends ask what brought on the story, and I figure that I might as well discuss that here.
To those that know me outside of Fimfiction most likely know that I'm a huge fan of Anime. Thanks to Tenchi Muyo I'm a huge fan of the Harem Genre, and thanks to Rosario + Vampire, Monster Musume, and Overlord I've become a fan of Monster girls. So much so that I actually began writing a small anthology about dating Monster girls. It's something that I'm still working on, but back to how this story came about... Well, I was talking to L0rd0f7hund3r and just for laughs I began to write a character short based on the Idea of Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie coming to a version of Earth that had the Interspecies Bill going.
That brought on a slightly different take on it, so naturally I decided to have the bill include Interdimensional beings, and of course this included two of the main characters from show itself. Naturally there was short discussion made about should they be anthro, or should they be in pure pony form. I believed that much like the mirror that allows the ponies to travel to Sunset Shimmer's Earth this 'Portal' also transforms them into a form that is closer to the native forms already in place. This of course allows them to interact easier, and it also helps them remain covered by the Interspecies Bill a little easier.
Of course any good Harem anime, manga, or even novelization has to have some drama and some competition. Thus the reason for the introduction of Yuki. And for those who asked, yes Agent Jones is very similar to Agent Smith from Monster Musume. There are some clear and obvious differences in their personality however. Anyway, I want to take a moment and thank everyone that has taken the time to read, and like, the story. Thank you all.
