Daring Do and the Red Shoe Diary

For years, since nearly the start of the series' rise to international fame, the rumors have persisted: Was there an adult-oriented Daring Do story? Has our intrepid explorer gone down paths far more sordid and saucy than her audience could have imagined?

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! However you celebrate the season, I hope it is a good one for you and yours.

/and better than mine, as I'm typing this while stuck in a hotel room thousands of miles from home because of all times for me to finally get covid, it's now

New Red Shoes Chapter is Live!

After far too long of a hiatus, Red Shoes is officially back with a new chapter!

This time, we'll be hearing from the co-owner of Sugarcube Corner, who has a saucy but sympathetic tale to tell.

I hope you enjoy, and let me know in the comments. Cheers, all!

    Red Shoe Diaries: The Return

    *blows the dust off*

Yikes. I let this sit for way, WAY too long. As I'm typing this I'm realizing it's been 4 years, since this story last updated. That's horrendous, and also entirely my fault. True, lots of life has happened to me, and then there's the world going mad besides. But still, I should NOT have let this story lapse like this. For that, readers, you have my apologies.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Been with family most of the day, but wanted to pop in and wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

This has admittedly been a crappy year for me, but I AM very thankful for all of you. Your support means the world, and I'm glad y'all are here.

In the comments, let me know what your fave Turkey Day desserts are!

State of the Writer + BIG Changes Are Coming · 4:49am Oct 19th, 2018

*blows dust off of the blog*

This post is waaaaayyyyy overdue, but the delay has not been without reason. Got some big changes coming around the bend, so jump past the break to find out more.

When I posted my most recent blog before this one, my parents were due to come in town to visit us. We hadn't seen them since Christmas, and their own travel plans had forced a rescheduling of their usual Springtime visit. Their visit this time coincided with my birthday, so they decided to stay for about a month. As you might guess, I need to keep relative radio silence during such visits, with respect to this site and others that I frequent, as well as some social media.

This time though, the fact that my parents' visit was longer than usual had an additional bonus in that they were able to jump right in and help us prepare for some big changes coming for myself and my wife.

The change itself? I'll put it this way - it'll be a lot easier for us to get to EFNW next year:

Welcome to the Emerald City!

Yes, mares and gentlecolts! Our two OCs are spreading their wings and zipping out to Seattle! I won't go into full detail, but I'll just say that my wife was offered a big promotion into management, one that came with relocation assistance. And my job was able to transfer to the Seattle office location too, so we both have jobs on the other end. Looking at it in total, we couldn't say no, and moving to Seattle has been a longterm goal for us anyway, so this is about as aligned as the stars could be. :yay:

The relocation process itself is already underway, and as you can imagine, things are getting crazy busy at lightspeed. As much as I'd love to get back into a writing groove, there just isn't enough time right now to do much of anything not relocation related. I want to emphasize that I'm NOT throwing in the towel or anything. Far from it! I just have bigger real life fish to fry for the time being.

I'll do my best to keep you all updated as to the happenings here, but overall, we're hoping to complete the relocation just after Thanksgiving. *crosses fingers*

This is going to be stressful, but also exciting! We're looking forward to it. :)

Cheers!

Moving sucks, but it's also exciting!
Good luck mate

Congratulations to your wife on the promotion and to you both on the move! :yay:

Chillean said it best; moving sucks but it can also be fun at the same time.

Best of luck out there, my man! Go climb Mt Rainier for me

Oh, my! How wonderful! I know that moving is a headache but what a wonderful and exciting opportunity! Yay!

Hap

Congrats! I look forward to seeing you again!

Awesome! I very much hope the relocation includes somebody packing and moving all your stuff, that helps tremendously.

Congratulations, and have fun out there! :yay:

Yep, it sure does! They'll even transport one of our cars, so we don't have to drive both of them. :)

Awesome! We had a similar deal when we moved, and since we settled in a much smaller house developed a strange hope that the truck with all of our stuff that couldn’t possibly fit into this place would burst into flames on the way or something. We ended up having a massive garage sale instead :scootangel:
