Something occurred to me earlier, regarding School Raze. I should also warn that this might be one of those things that once you start thinking about it, you can't stop. So, just in case, below a break.
Tirek had been locked up in Tartarus since his defeat. Yet, he and Cozy Glow had been pen pals, with him giving her advice and information in over to make her plan. I think Cozy Glow even mentions that she had been exchanging letters with him, while Twilight Sparkle and the others were completely oblivious.
Cozy Glow and Tirek exchanged letters. Like physical letters. Which means that mail was taken in and out of Tartarus.
Doesn't that mean that a mailpony would go in and come out of Tartarus? Did the Equestrian Postal Service have a key? Did the mailpony get extra pay? Additionally, doesn't this mean that ponies would have known letters were being sent to Tirek in Tartarus? Did none of them think it strange? Maybe report it to someone? Does this mean some other pony knew about the letters, but never said anything?
If the Mailponies can send mail to Discord's dimension they can get to Tartarus, I think it's simply the fact the that in Equestria mail is proabaly a confidential thing
I was wondering the same thing. Sadly I think the only explanation is Derpy.
I have to admit, I didn't think of that. But now that YOU have - yeah. You make a lot of good points.
I just assumed Spike and Celestia aren't the only ones who have a way to send letters via magic.
