Sands and Storms is there a lot going on in my life right now. Basically if you haven't see it yet, here's the link to my normal site's news post, which is all separate news from this post. There's a Patreon supporter reward among other things.

Got it? Read it? Good. Not enough time in the day, people. Not today! It's time for a Fimfic-related news post.

Right, first up: Hunter/Hunted. Almost done with part two of three. A few more chapters to go. Unfortunately, I've only got one real-time Alpha Reader, but they assure me that aside from some stuff here and there, overall the story is shaping up well. Look for that by the end of this year, I think.

Right, next up, the PCaRG dropped a nice review of Discord Day Care the other day. While I'll leave the review (with custom memes) for you to peruse, I'll simply sum up that they enjoyed it quite a bit, and there was a good amount of praise packed into it. It's lesser-known among my works, but it's nice to see it being appreciated. Check it out! And if you haven't read the story it's reviewing yet, maybe it'll talk you into it.

Next up, a piece of fanart! Sort of!

There's a bit of a story here. A while ago I was contacted by some folks doing a translation of Arad's Stardust and associated materials, asking questions about the Dusk Guard (as they cameo in the story) so that the translation could get the honorifics correct regarding a few of the characters.

Anyway, they've been moving right along with their project, and even doing some fanart of it. Which brings us to this piece that showed up in my inbox last week, with their take on Dawn Triage working alongside the X-Com team. Always nice to see my characters pop up somewhere!

Speaking of Arad's Stardust, if you're a fan, you should know that there's a fundraiser going for a print run. You can check it out here. If you like collecting print copies of notable fanfics, you should be clicking that link.

And since I'm boosting, PaulAsaran's Bulletproof Heart is coming to the end of its first season, and it really does deserve more readers than it's gotten. A lot of work was poured into this setting, story, and character, and it shows. It really is worth checking out: A thousand readers for such an effort is almost criminal.

Seriously, go give it a look.

Okay, and with that, I think that is all the news I have. I hope I haven't forgotten something. This last weekend and the start of this week has kind of been an insane pile of things happening.

Anyway, need to write now. That's the news!

Good to hear you've gotten some more hours at work, even if it does cut into your writing etc. hours a bit.

Patreon supporters are in for a treat on A Game of Stakes. I was quite pleased with it.

And I am really looking forward to more stuff from your Colony universe. Best of luck on the experimental posting style. I hope it drives both more site traffic and more book sales.

Heeey, thanks for the boost! If you’re aware that it’s only at 1k views then is it safe to say you’ve been following along? I don’t suppose there’s any changes you noticed since you original reading that you particularly love/hate? Not that there’s many, I’ll grant.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to it as well. I'm still waffling on a few schedule bits with Jungle and Fireteam Freelance, and of course that other book might get in the way, but it'll be fun to write something set on Earth, as well as episodic.

Everyone who's read A Game of Stakes so far has loved it. I'm looking forward to polishing it up and sending it off to the editor for the collection.

Oh yeah, I've been following it. I'll admit I haven't actually been reading it (just checking the 'read" box so you do get the stats) because you know, I recently read it , but I have been trying to give it what little boosts of heat I can.

BTW, reviewing Shadow, I'll be you see now why I kind of held off reading Bulletproof for a while. I didn't want to risk crossing the streams at all.

And I appreciate that boost where I can get it.

Yeah, I certainly understand. I wouldn't want to work on a Western while editing someone else's Western. Talk about Total Plotonic Inversions.
