Nexusverse is a large multidimensional over-universe meaning it is its own multiverse.
All universes exist, as well as all realities, what is imagination is real in others. Paradox universes often end up being destroyed due to the contradiction of existence but are constantly existing and not existing within the boiling chaos of the multiverse.
Each universe, is a layered reality meaning it has layers of different versions of itself of everything that is possible within that universe. So our universe for example has every possible outcome in its layered realities at every point in time both past and future.
Gods exist, however many gods are created through belief and subjective thought. So to give an example for this, Thor the Norse god exists in every reality but he himself is a transdimensional being so he is subjective to belief in each reality. So in one reality Thor is believed in so much that he becomes a physical thing, while say like in our reality which only held his belief for a small time was real but not a physical presence. Then there are realities where he doesnt exist, or exists as a fact rather through belief. Really it is the writers choice to have the reality be created where there are no gods or a singular one, or all of them because the gods are subjective to reality.
Gods themselves are less caretakers but more ideas of nature, thought, or concepts, they have their own free will and do as they wish.
The Lords however are vastly different but similar. Lords 'are' nature, ideas, or concepts they are what cause them, they are made of them yet create them. The lords hold no true moral alignment because they dictate nature and nature dictates them.
Light, Dark, Order, Chaos are the laws of reality, they aren't just concepts of good and evil that is the subjective nature of gods and mortals.
They represent the harmony and chaos of a universe, Discord for example is a Lord of Chaos. He cannot be anything else but a force of chaos, if he refuses the nature of his existence he refuses his existence as a whole. Chaos itself is both entropy and creation, it is the subtle shifts in life, the great changes and calamities that impact nature and life. And Chaos does not work alone, it works with the other three closely.
Love is a chaos creation, however it works with Order. Love can create destruction as much as creation, Helen of Troy is a perfect example of love creating chaos in the hearts of others, but it also brought order and structure as these men who wanted Helen formed armies to take her.
Darkness is not evil, it is thought, it is the abstract, it is the dreams of the subconscious, it is what worlds and universes spawn from before light touches them.
Light is not good, it is emotion, it is desire, it is heat and warmth, it is the refinement of energy.
Order is not just a aspect of authority, it is also silence, the absence of movement, the cold and grey, but it is also engineering, the laws of a reality, the containment of matter and the placing of atoms to form elements.

Death themselves is a recurring entity that shows up a lot in these humans in EQ gambits, it's to say that Death has a very deep soft spot for mortals and sometimes grants them a place that is close to paradiso.
Sheza'alem is a character that recurs across all but is mainly unseen. The Greater Chaos Lord is very very fond of the ponies because of the innocent chaos they create, just by being themselves.
Sheza here is the concept of subtle chaos, the tiny shifts in fate and direction of life, the small unseen chaos, the twists and turns of evolution and adaptation. Which he is generally seen as a benevolent Lord due to his enjoyment of life and where it goes. While Death may have been apathetic towards Warm Smile it didnt mean Death didnt care about her, it's why he sent her here in the first place because on of Sheza'alem's small shifts in fate that would of caused the death of Sweetie Belle. Which they hate taking young souls to the afterlife, not because they are children, but because they did not get to experience life so he did Sweetie a solid and saved her from being fried.
Sheza here seeing that Death was helping decided to commander Warm Smile and Sweetie's Soul and take full control of their development and fate, Death was just mad they got duped and the souls taken away from them without realizing. Sheza has big plans for these two, one of them being to cock block Warm Smile till she learns some patience and has better control over herself.
