Sweet Carrots, The Last Chapter · 4:12pm Sep 20th, 2018
That’s it. It’s done. The last chapter has been posted. If you’ve been reading along, you should go read it now because the stuff I’m about to say is kinda, sorta spoiler-ish.
Did you read it?
I’ll wait.
Good.
This chapter is my favorite! As a matter of fact, l’Oignon (Carrot Cake’s mom) is actually my favorite character in this whole short story. I find it insanely arrogant of myself to say that the character I love most is the one I made up—like Chiffon Swirl and Carrot Cake aren’t good enough, or something. They are, but somehow I found l’Oignon’s headspace completely compelling. That’s pretty much why I wrote this last chapter. She kept voicing her…disapproval of Chiffon to me and I ended up listening.
She’s also bit of a grump, which is another reason I like her.
Well, if you also enjoy Carrot Cake’s mom, you’ll probably like what I have to say next. I wrote another (very short) story featuring her. It’s around 2.5k words long and it’s her…let us say, reaction to seeing her grandchildren for the first time.
(Side note: Why has no one made this clip into a gif? It’s like, one of the best jokes in the show!)
I’ve said too much, I should go.
I’m putting the final edits on it this weekend and I’ll post it next Tuesday.
Epic Yarn, out!
Oh goodness, I hadn't even considered her reaction to Pound and Pumpkin's tribes. This will be exquisite.
Yay! I can't wait!
She is kind of a grump but is cared. She is a wonderful character. I'll bet she and her husband have a great life together.
