Yes, I'm still alive.
No, I haven't given up or anything.
I've been taking some much-needed time off from the project. After months of doing not much of anything else, real life snuck up behind my back and whacked me over the head with a massive todo list of things I've been putting off.
That plus I've been honestly fatigued. I'm in the middle of a real-life adjustment which has thrown off my sleep schedule a fair bit. So I have been focusing on a friend's story instead while I take a breather from Black Feather.
Also, the dramas regarding Luna's characterization in the previous chapter really sapped the fun out of writing for a while. I simply couldn't keep going with that going on. This has taught me an important lesson in accepting (or not) critique. Hopefully, that has passed now, so sometime in early September, I'm planning on resuming the story. The next chapter needs some real work, unfortunately. It is a chapter I've been dreading.
In other news, this week BDK has finished his next comic page!
This one took a lot of work, and it turned out better than I expected.
