Wow, after a really crazy day I have all of chapter ten written out. I started the day with a nearly blank slate rewrite that only kept about 250 words, and the chapter ended up being 5750 words long (may change later after editing). That's a lot of words in a day. It turns out the rather large hurricane that is passing almost directly over me is actually a huge boon for my writing time. The power stayed on, giving me plenty of time to write. Since I have another day off tomorrow I may try to write the final chapter as well while I'm at it. That will save editing and revision time and perhaps give a little better consistency of tone.
Catching the northern edge of said hurricane here in Maine. Kinda of a bummer, because I was hoping for at least a couple decent days for riding this week.
