Finally releasing a fixfic that I've worked on sporadically over more than two years

I was really unhappy with the finale of FiM, mostly because I felt it took the lazy options with the villains (and in so doing raised serious ethical problems with the princesses*) and made for a really stupid conflict of "suddenly everypony's a little racist and isolated and they just come together immediately offscreen".

Update on story delays · 3:32am Jun 1st, 2018

The bulk of the reason for the delays is that I started a job early this month. I'll try to get into a habit of writing a few chapters each weekend. I still plan to do the AJ story first, it should be out in mid June, with the shipping fic not far behind.

As an update, I'll be posting another story I've written before the AJ story. I didn't want to do clop right away, but unfortunately I've got some bad writer's block on how the AJ story should go, and I need to work on something.

And now the AJ story has arrived. It's a significantly shorter one, the first two chapters averaging about 600 words (and there's only three more chapters to go).
It ended up having a bit more bodily function stuff than I originally intended when I actually laid out the plan of it; just sort of how it has to work to really establish the problem and how it relates to AJ's attitude. I do plan to finish it before Slice of Cake, as well.
