    Finally releasing a fixfic that I've worked on sporadically over more than two years

    I was really unhappy with the finale of FiM, mostly because I felt it took the lazy options with the villains (and in so doing raised serious ethical problems with the princesses*) and made for a really stupid conflict of "suddenly everypony's a little racist and isolated and they just come together immediately offscreen".

New Year, New Struggle to Get Writing · 12:48am Jan 13th, 2023

I do art sometimes, not just stories, as rare as it is.

A lot of my writing ideas right now are in limbo as I try to grapple with some very difficult story problems; for instance, I want to do a story about a "naughty murder party" among Equestria's original rulers, but I just can't figure out the exact tone I want, or whether it should be more of a serious effort (the characters scheming and fighting) or things falling apart right away.
I have at least mostly figured out the direction to take the prequel to Second Chances Are Magic, and plan to get writing its first chapter within the next week.
