How did you come up with this?

The story or the world-building? I've mentioned other places the story was originally an Equestria Girls story about a tabletop game club. The game they played became Princess Essenta. It was just a small part of the story but I decided to turn it into its own thing. The appendix was something I did for myself at first, just to help keep track of things, but I thought it was worth publishing.

When you set your story farther back then bible times, I guess you can do what you want.

It helps. I don't even name most landmarks or geographical features in my story. I just vaguely describe them in the story. If you read and look at an official Equestria map, following the story's pretty easy.
